So there was Audi's original short cable connecting multimedia socket with Tune2Air bluetooth adaptor. I'm guessing tine2air is powered because it emulates the ipod connection rather than the aux connection? Confusingly many will have Bluetooth hands free functionality(mine has this) but without the kit to enable audio streaming.Then, while listen to the radio station or Sirius, I hit my media button activating the Tune2Air and then press play. As soon as I get in the car, without any interaction, my iPhone connects to both the WMA3000B and the on board BMW phone connection. It's a random issue, no logic as to when or why it happens but it's an easy fix, takes 2-3 seconds to fix. For example my kit just now I can skip tracks in Spotify using the knob on the headunit (saves me some embarrassment if a bad song comes on! if the mmi says the tune2air isnt connected, reset the mmi with three buttons, will then reboot and should connect to the tune to air fine.
