About this deal

At the rear of the U2717D's cabinet, facing downward, are two DisplayPort inputs (one full size and one mini), a DisplayPort output for daisy-chaining multiple monitors, an HDMI input, an upstream USB 3. The cabinet has four VESA-compliant mounting holes and is supported by a stand that provides tilt, swivel, pivot, and height adjustments. Moreover, it is equipped with a generous feature set, including multiple video ports, an ergonomic stand, and a USB hub. The display of third-party trademarks and trade names on this site does not necessarily indicate any affiliation or the endorsement of PCMag. The output is really not too bad for a built in sound, but due to the rolled off bass, I still prefer a dedicated DAC + amp.

The U2717D comes with a three-year warranty on parts, labor, and backlight and is eligible for Dell's Advanced Exchange program, which guarantees that a replacement unit will be sent out (if necessary) within one business day. UltraSharp 27 Monitor (U2719D) is a well-rounded 1440p productivity monitor for your top workers, especially ones whose job, at least occasionally, involves exacting color work such as processing photos for the web. Viewing-angle performance was typical for a good IPS panel, with no noticeable color shifting or loss of luminance when viewed from an extreme side, top, or bottom angle.

Its IPS panel delivers outstanding color and grayscale performance, wide viewing angles, and a crisp WQHD picture, and it has multiple video inputs, a video output, and a four-port USB hub.

However, the Acer Z271's ECO power-saving mode reduced consumption to 21 watts, and the Viewsonic XG2700-4K used only 18 watts when set to its Conserve ECO mode.

You don't get the advanced 6-Axis-Hue and -Saturation color controls that you get with the BenQ SW2700PT and the Acer Predator XB271HU , and there are no Blue Light settings on this model. The pivot mode allows you to rotate the panel into portrait mode to gain easier access to the other ports. I’ve been working with computers for ages, starting with a multi-year stint in purchasing for a major IBM reseller in New York City before eventually landing at PCMag (back when it was still in print as PC Magazine). There's height, tilt and pivot adjustments, but the pivot mechanism is no longer at the base, instead at the arm support, making it feels a bit more flimsy compared to the U2417H, which has the pivot mechanism at the base instead.Gamma tracking is also loose at the extremes, which again is bad news for extra-dark and extra-light scenes. hub—with one USB upstream port and four USB downstream ports—for charging devices and attaching peripherals. As shown on the chromaticity chart below, red, green, and blue colors (represented by the colored dots) are all very closely aligned with their ideal CIE coordinates (represented by the boxes).

PCMag is obsessed with culture and tech, offering smart, spirited coverage of the products and innovations that shape our connected lives and the digital trends that keep us talking. It’s like a superpowered version of Windows Snap and genuinely saves time once you get used to the way it works.

As for the colours, I have no colour checker, but colours at standard mode (aka sRGB mode) seems accurate for me, and similar compared to the U2417H.
