The manual timer switch (looks like a Vaillant timeswitch 130) on my 3 yr old boiler (ecoTEC plus 831) is not working anymore - it has possibly been forced anti clockwise. If so any suggestions, along with added functionalities the alternatives provide over the current timer. The 140, being digital, offers the ability to accurately enter on/off times in minutes, whereas the 130 being mechanical is probably only accurate to around 10/15 minutes. Is there a simple fix please or is it possible I inadvertently did something to stop it from working? The timeSWITCH 150 is compatible with all Vaillant ecoTEC combination boilers and plugs directly into the boiler without the need for any wiring.

The heating will engage/disengage if I move the time on manually or just switch to always on but the clock itself seems to have 'stopped'. Next, what 'more accurate on off' can the 140 give over the 120 - sorry I don't understand that either.

I would like to understand if I would have much benefits from upgrading to a digital version vs the manual timer. For a "Used" product the 130 Mechanical Timeswitch is good value, it was easily fitted and for the short time it has been in use it has been reliable. I've just moved in to a flat and the clock on the boiler is not working - it was until around 24 hours ago but now the time/hands etc are not moving.
