About this deal

Chances are that if your cable run from the source is up to 100 feet in length, and you’re using a splitter with a small number of ports, your receiving device will get the signal just fine. I have got the cheaper splitter you mention (4:1 version rather than 2:1) and thought I'd bring it back into use for the V6 box. The longer the HDMI cable then the greater the chances of experiencing signal dropouts, this gets worse when dealing with the higher bandwidth signals associated with 4K UHD and HDR.

Haven't got a clue what or where the black is going but going to have a stab at an extension for TV to another room or least favourite a coaxial cable (normal TV aerial cable) but what's it doing connected there? I'd also take a cat5 or cat6 cable to where your second TiVo will be so that it can be connected up to your home network. The router is the old original Superhub which is up in the office on its own cable and has my desktop PC and Hue hub connected to its ethernet ports. If you want to extend your Virgin Media cable, you will need to contact Virgin Media, and they will send you the cable you need. I'd tend to suggest accessing uhd Netflix content via the TV's own app rather than via the V6 though.Anyway, to install my own Media Hub I was planning on simply removing the existing isolator cable which leads to the splitter and plugging in the new one that Virgin send me. But as it sounds like you are going to do it anyway make sure the F connectors are fitted correctly and tightened so you can’t undo them with your hand.

How to Split a Coaxial Cable (While Minimizing Signal Loss)

Conversely though, you may use a splitter rated for satellite TV for signals from your OTA TV antenna.Connect the Hub’s new power cable with the blue label to the back of the Hub, and plug the other end into a wall socket. If wanting to use one TiVo to facilitate output to several locations then I'd suggest you consider using an HDMI to Cat6 matrix. So - one coax cable from the loft connected to the splitter taking this back into the loft where it will be connected to a new splitter to distribite the TV feeds back to the living room and bedroom.
