About this deal

The Eureka Mignon Specialita Coffee Grinder is simply brilliant. It delivers a precision grind and looks beautiful in any kitchen. This Eureka Grinder is a game-changer for coffee at home! Eureka Mignon Specialita Coffee Grinder - Chrome Most old-school espresso grinders retain quite a bit of coffee every time you grind. To mitigate that issue, it’s common to purge a few grams every time you touch the settings or some time has passed. There are people asking a similar question of Mignon vs Baratza Sette & Mazzer Mini for example, but I've not had any experience with these particular grinders yet, and I have with the Zero, which is why I thought I'd give my two penneth worth on this quandary.

flat burrs: "Diamond inside" 55mm burrs. Diamond Inside is Eureka's patented process of treating burrs at a temperature of -193 degrees C (patent pending). This results in the formation of an increased crystal structure that guarantees a superior wear resistance and life, making burr-replacement necessary only after around 1000 kg - 1300 kg ground - that's 72222 cups of coffee (based on an 18-gram dose). For a typical household that consumes 4 cups of coffee a day, the burrs can last 49 years! I have seen people pair the Specialita with high-end machines like La Marzoccos, so there’s no doubt it can punch above its weight. In the lower, cheaper range, you’d have some conical burr models that weren’t engineered for espresso. The Mignon grinders have very small retention, in fact, during the Clive Coffee retention comparison experiment they found that the Specialita only retained about 1.3g, which is among the lowest of all those they tested. The Mignon is stylish. The model I reviewed had a polished case and modern design. It also comes in a variety of colors. It's worth noting, though, that the Mignon I was sent, had been used for a while before, so the burrs had been “run-in”.

The Zero isn't for everyone though, it's a bit too much for many budgets, not everyone wants to single dose and many people want more in terms of features than just having an on-off switch, so it's a case of each to their own really. Eureka Mignon Review – Conclusion I think all of the Mignon models will grind comfortably for manual or espresso, but I think it makes sense to look at Silenzio and Specialita for espresso, and Crono, Perfetto, or Brew Pro for manual brewing, as these have features that are more geared towards grinding for manual brewing. Eureka Mignon Vs. Sage Smart Grinder Pro It is always exhilarating to slice open the tape and hope our expectations are about to be met. Inside the box, Eureka has the grinder and associated parts nestled into fitted pieces of foam. There are not many parts. The grinder, the hopper with lid, and the portafilter fork was detached from the machine. The Crono is one of the latest models from Eureka, it's one of the lower cost options, without the silent technology so they're slightly louder, although still, fairly quiet relatively speaking. A better comparison would probably be with one of the higher end Mignons such as the Atom or Zenith.

BEST SELLING

The Eureka Mignon Specialita is a premium-quality espresso grinder for home use. It is a wonderful option for coffee lovers looking for consistent grounds to get the best out of high-end espresso machines. It is sturdily and beautifully built, has low retention and quiet grinding – and most importantly – produces an excellent grind quality. While the 55mm burrs seem to suffice, larger would definitely be nicer! Some variants use 50mm burrs which are even smaller As with the chrono there's a timer for 5-60 seconds of grinding, and you can use it on demand by pushing the portafilter into the grinding button and letting go when you think you've got your desired dose. This model comes with the portafilter cradle fork/prong things.
