I put William in a Lupi and it worked well until he became VERY sore under his leg (only on one side).And my god - what a difference - i'm not saying it's all roses - especially when i first put it on, she still does her mental bit and struggles to the door, but once outside - she's a different dog, as soon as she feels the pressure on her chest - she goes slower. My last collie learned to walk nicely using a lupi harness when he was young and would walk closely on a loose lead for the rest of his life after that - my current collie pulled against it till it rubbed so we ditched it for him and we're still working on nice on lead walking (he's usually off lead so it's taking us a while to work on on lead manners).There are reviews which say it causes terrible rubbing etc etc which to be honest, if it is right for your dog it will not. Direct-Vet carries various anti traction head collars (Lupi or Sporn) to prevent your dog from pulling on its lead. I think harnesses definitely have their place, for dogs with weak or damaged throats/necks, for dogs that have to be on a long line, for dogs who are being walked on a flexi, for dogs who for some reason of their own just don't like being walked by the collar. Also thought that now i have finn - i just wouldn't be able to cope with 2 dogs pulling me round the park lol (and yes finn is already taking after his mum on this one he'll end up with one as well once he is fully grown - although still plenty of time to try and train him out of it). The handy anti-pulling leash is also ideal for short-nosed dog breeds, such as the pug or bulldog, that cannot wear a headcollar.The walkezee really isn't like a harness, its much better than the halti one because the front strap is not fixed so you have more control over the dog.
