About this deal

My comments should not be construed to imply I am happy.  I wanted a warm, fuzzy HEA.  I do thank Sylvia for a special reading experience that makes Crossfire a standout among the books I have read. Shortly after midnight my cellphone pinged stating that my account had been charged for OWY and low and behold it appeared on my Kindle!!!  Needless to say, I started reading and about 7 hours later I was finished. I loved, loved , loved it!! On such a fast read I believe that all my questions were answered. I will make sure on my slower re-read. I laughed and cried....had an unexpected turn of events near the end, but I coped (like Eva). Thank you Sylvia for such a lovely ending....I wished this series would never end, but oh well. As they say "alls well that ends well" Can't wait to hear from others after they have finished reading...

Crossfire Series by Sylvia Day - Goodreads

I feel a bit unsatisfied with this last book. I needed more content for supporting characters. Overall it was good, re-reading now. that they may all be one; even as Thou, Father, art in Me, and I in Thee, that they also may be in Us; that the world may believe that Thou didst send Me. I have to say that " a bit unsatisfied" perfectly covers it. There doesn't seem to be as much attention to details as in the other books even CBY which some readers did not like. I am on the second read now and hope it grows on me. I knew that You always hear Me, but I say this for the benefit of the people standing here, so they may believe that You sent Me."

that all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You, that they also may be in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. As thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us.--The insertion of "art," which, as the italics show, is not in the original text, weakens the sense. It is better, therefore, to omit it. The word "one," in the second clause, is of doubtful authority, and has the appearance of a gloss. The probable reading, therefore, is, That they all may be one; as Thou, Father, in Me, and I in Thee, that they also may be in Us; and the meaning is that the union of the Church may be of the same essential nature as that between the Father and the Son; yea, that the union of the Church may result from the union of individual members with the Father through the Son. (Comp. John 14:23; John 15:4-10, et al.) The Father in the Son and the Son in the Father; both Father and Son taking up their abode in the believer, and the believer, therefore, in the Father and the Son. This is the ideal of the unity of the Church of Christ; and if this union with God is realised by each individual, it necessarily follows that all the individuals will be one with each other. (Comp. Notes on Ephesians 4:4 et seq.) A sixth book that provides a traditional/typical ending would take away from what I consider a unique ending to the Eva/Gideon story.  We are left to fill in the future for ourselves. I pray that all of these people continue to have unity in the way that you, Father, are in me and I am in you. I pray that they may be united with us so that the world will believe that you have sent me. Strong's 3588: The, the definite article. Including the feminine he, and the neuter to in all their inflections; the definite article; the.

With You Home - With You

That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. oh, I am glad I am not alone with my point of view right now! I was hesitant to post my points ... I don´t want to cause any anger here ... but it is like this .. authentic me - but only in this moment. that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. that they all may be one; just as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be one in Us, so that the world may believe [without any doubt] that You sent Me. that they all may be one, as Thou Father art in me, and I in Thee; that they also in us may be one, that the world may believe that Thou didst send me.And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are…
