Ingredients Usually I like the Milton Lloyds enough on their own terms that I don't feel a compulsion to get the original, thought not without curiosity. Spirit of Heaven is such a strange fragrance that I felt I should before coming to anything like a conclusion. Not a bad copy of Angel but not the best Milton Lloyd perfume either. To be fair, I think Angel must be a hard one to clone because I've got some perfume clones that you absolutely cannot tell the difference, perfume snobs would say you can but I'd love to put them through a controlled blind test and see if they could. When it comes to Angel though, there's always just something off about it, they can never seem to get it quite right. They can get really close but there's always something, even for me who loves clones, that's just really hard to perfect with Angel. GAH! Aw...honey...naw...I told him that I'd tried wearing it many, many, years ago, but that it just didn't work with me. He said I needed to wear it a few times, not just try a test on my wrist in-store, because it's a real 'developer'. So, me thinking the perfume dude might know best, decided to try Angel again. But I wasn't going to buy a bottle of the real deal. No, for some reason, stupid-ass me thought that it would be a good idea to try a dupe (of one of the perfumes which is notoriously hard for faker-makers to imitate) to try and see if I could get along with wearing that one for a bit. Enter Milton Lloyd's 'Spirit of Heaven'. I saw on here that quite a few people were really complimentary about his Angel dupe...and being the gullible twerp I am, I just bought it. What is the point to this story? It's a cautionary tale. A tale about how that which may be pleasant to others can be torturous to us. Spirit Of Heaven by Milton Lloyd Is An Oriental, Fruity Fragrance For Her. citrus, Fruity Top Notes Of Bergamot, Cardamom, Passion Fruit And Praline. floral Mid Notes Of Rose And Jasmine. Woody Base Notes Of vanilla And Patchouli. I waited for this to develop after the sharp citrus settled down. I swear there's grapefruit in it. Once on for half an hour, it developed into a gorgeous patchouli. With the price of this dupe ranging from 3 to 5 euros, there's simply no one I wouldn't recommend Spirit of Heaven to - even if you go wrong, well, the (financial) fall could be a lot worse! This is especially great option for those wanting to blind buy Angel against their better judgement (and everyone's advice). Spirit of Heaven could also make a wonderful daytime wear in case you are saving your precious Angel only for special occasions. If I remember correctly with this one it's not as sweet and it's more heavy on the patchouli, less gourmand, but in the air it'd just smell like Angel and some people might even prefer it that way. It certainly smells more like the og Angel than some of the flankers, (I'm looking at you Angel Elixir) and to be totally fair, I didn't smell the very, very, first versions of Angel so this could very well smell exactly like that did. It was the late 90s before I smelled it.I have been buying this fragrance from Miton-LLoyd for a few years now and EVERYONE always comments on the lovely perfume I am wearing. I love it and wouldnt wear anything other than Spirit of Heaven. Wonderful Almost dead-on, definitely Angelic [let's see how many puns I can fit in to this review...] dupe of the notorious / legendary Thierry Mugler perfume. As one reviewer already pointed out, the most significant difference is the missing caramel note - though I, myself, am not complaining. Although I can appreciate and admire the extravagant nature of TM's Angel, there's always been just too much going on for me and my nose. Whenever I thought I would finally come to understand the secret of Angel, the fruity caramel note on top of the scent of BO was surely there to make me doubt my senses. "People are actually able to wear this stuff? Wow, I don't know if I should be jealous or worried." Like every bottle you buy from this house, it is also under pressure and atomizes very fine and evenly, but makes the dosage a bit difficult, because even at light pressure a decent amount shoots out.

Not only did I smell like a recently deep-cleaned hospital wing, but that one squirt had eradicated every noticeable trace of Lost Cherry...the smell I'm currently obsessed with. *sob* I had to go to the chemist, wait for my meds and the whole time I kept getting wafts and gusts of 'Spirit of Heaven' as it morphed and changed and went through a strange evolution of fetid misbehaviour on my skin. Okay, I will admit this: I was jealous of those able to pull off Angel! So just imagine my enchantment when I finally wore this and got to witness the magical moment of pure sex and higher spirit that everyone's been talking about. Angel is my signature scent, she has been for 10+ years, and so, I've been another witness and victim of her most horrendous reformulations.I think when I get my 'real' Angel, I'll get another of these for daytime use and keep the Mugler for special occasions.
