About this deal

The sealed pressure pump is low-voltage and powered by the included transformer, which ensures safe, quiet operation. Low pressure switch turns off the booster pump if water pressure is less than 7.25 PSI, extending the life of the pump. The unit will boost the incoming pressure to around 90PSI and as long as you have enough water volume it will work for a unit up to 100GPD. As for the mentioned leaks we have found a few possible reasons, some do not push the tubing into the connectors enough. The o-ring in the fittings require the tube to be pushed past the o-ring to seal around the tube. We call this the "double push", first it stops at the o-ring and then it stops when it goes past the o-ring. Another has been how the tubing is cut, using scissors will crease the tube in most cases and not seal around the o-ring in the fitting correctly. We suggest a razor blade that will make a nice clean cut. The other could be a bad fitting but we have seen very few of these. You are correct, you would want to remove the ASO from the RO unit. It will cause problems with the smart buddie if left installed.

The high pressure switch turns off the booster pump if the filtered water pressure is greater than 33.35 PSI, prolonging the life of the pump. Easily plumb into most reverse osmosis systems to increase water pressure up to 90 PSI and reduce waste water. I'm not sure there is a pro or con to either way. I think it has more to do with the TDS creep across the membrane and how often its turned on and off through out the day. I have found that the RODI unit will have the initially higher than normal reading after each start up regardless if flushed or not. What I do is actually limit my production to longer batches. So I either use a timer to turn the unit on and off a single time per day or I use a count down timer to operate the unit with a specified duration. You can choose to not use the waste water outlets on the Smart Buddie if you would like or in one case I had a customer split the waste line into two, one to the 300 CC of the Smart Buddie and a second to a 450 CC inline flow restrictor. This allowed them to keep the higher waste water ratio. Most of the times we have customers wanting to lower the waste water output, so the smaller combination valve was used.Typical water pressure in homes is around 40 psi. When someone opens a tap, that might decrease significantly. It might be okay for most uses but it’s not exactly ideal for a reverse osmosis filter system.

Not typically aquarium RO units, the Smart Buddie attaches well to them. I have problems with residential units that have built in ASO and components that can not be removed. INCREASES THE PRESSURE – Reverse osmosis booster pumps are used to increase the pressure going into your RO or RO/DI system which makes it operate more efficiently, improves the economy of the unit, and water production. The 300 CC flow restrictors have been used since the beginning with the booster. If you have really high TDS its possible to foul the membranes, we have not had any problems. The 300 CC combination valve is a combination of the flow restrictor and a auto flush valve. The valve will open when first powered on or after approximately 24 hours of operation. The Bird Buddy’s battery lasted about a week on a charge; your time will vary based on how many birds show up at the feeder, and how often you use the live view. You get a warning in the app when the battery is low, but I recommend splurging for the solar panel roof to spare yourself the trouble of having to recharge it manually. Bird Buddy review: VerdictHi @AquaticLifeProducts , I was wondering if you could kindly advise. I have a working Smart Buddie with BRS 7 Stage RODI unit, which features 2 RO membranes in series ("staging configuration.") This worked very very for one year, and the Smart Buddie is fantastic. It was able to get a the pair of 75 GPD RO membranes to 5 bar (70 psi). However, after replacing the membranes with 150 GDP, the pressure measured just following the output of the second membrane, the pressure dropped to 2 bar (30 psi). The three-year MOU will expand the POSB Smart Buddy programme across all junior colleges/Millennia Institute, secondary and primary schools by 2025

The Bird Buddy comes with a pole mount, which you screw into the bottom of the feeder. I wish it had a tightening screw; I had to use some duct tape to ensure that the feeder wouldn’t wobble after I put it up. Bird Buddy review: Price and availability Reverse osmosis booster pumps can easily increase the pressure going into your RO or RO/DI system if your starting pressure is low. Reverse osmosis is a pressure-driven process. Small residential RO units will theoretically operate below 50psi, but the reality is you won't get a lot of water and the product water quality may be compromised if the unit runs below 45 psi. RO units typically run well on municipal water pressure of 60 psi, but they run even better with a small pump to boost the pressure to 80 psi or slightly higher. This will increase efficiency as well as the rate of production, and can also potentially decrease consumption of DI resin. Get maximum output and the best quality filtered water from your RO system! The Smart Buddie has a high pressures switch on the filtered water line that will turn off the Smart Buddie when the pressure reaches 28 - 32 PSI. Keeping the original ASO with a different or not exact PSI shut off could turn the water off to the Smart Buddie, causing the low pressure switch to activate on the supply water side. Not really activating the High pressure switch side. This is why we suggest to remove them, as to not to compete with each other on the filtered line pressure. I also noticed that the Bird Buddy doesn’t get every bird that comes to the feeder. I happened to look out one morning and saw both a male and a female Cardinal eating seeds at the same time, but the Bird Buddy never recorded it.

TUBING & ELBOWS INCLUDED – Six low-profile 90 degree elbows are included to simplify plumbing and also allow connection to the AquaticLife Twist-In RO/DI units. Blue, Yellow and Red tubing is included for convenient installation.
