About this deal

Orange biscuits can be kept in an air-tight container for up to a week. If you want to keep them for longer you can freeze them for a few months. Simply individually wrap them in cling film them pop them in a freezer bag. What other biscuits can I make with my kids? Mix the zest and flour in until it is well combined. The biscuit dough will be quite stiff at this point. Be sure to chill them before you bake so they keep their shape, and let them cool down completely before adding a thin layer of chocolate cream to the middle. Put the butter in a bowl and beat with a wooden spoon or electric hand whisk until soft. Add the sugar and beat again until very creamy. Beat in the egg until combined.

Leave to completely cool before spreading the buttercream and sandwiching the biscuits together otherwise they might break. The orange cream biscuits are looking awesome! I also love orange cream biscuits a lot! I love anyting that has oranges in it - even body shop`s orange satsuma body lotion! I should try making this soon.Christmas for us is indeed a festival of joy.Though we don't celebrate it in its full splendour, things like hanging the star up and baking a fruit cake and gifting goodie boxes of baked stuff among friends has become a small tradition of sorts.Just like Diwali.

My family obviously know how much I love biscuits AND baking so it was the perfect present. I'm impressed with the cutters, they printed really well and made the biscuits look very authentic. Preheat your oven to 180C / 160C Fan / 350F and line 2 baking trays with baking / greaseproof paper. Cream the butter and sugar together These biscuits are a special treat with a ham dinner, but they're also delicious just by themselves. They're often requested by my five children and seven grandchildren. I've been enjoying them since the 1940's. Pour in the milk and vanilla and bring together into a dough. Remove the bowl from the mixer and knead the dough gently in the bowl with your hands. Flatten the dough into a disc but take care not to overwork it. Cover the dough with clingfilm and put it in the fridge to chill for one hour. Pretty silly all around if you ask me! All I know is that these are soft, sweet, and wonderfully rich, thanks to all that chocolate.Take pieces of dough and roll them into balls about the size of a walnut / ping pong ball. I normally give my kids the pieces of dough so they get the right amount and let them roll them into balls. The biscuit itself is a simple shortbread dough, only it doesn’t have any vanilla because it gets coated in a sweet glaze.
