The kitten is battery operated (and batteries are included!), and has two volume levels and an off switch. She will go to sleep on her own when she isn't played with for a little while. Items that are not available in store will take 3-5 working days (excluding weekends and bank holidays) to be delivered to your nominated store.
The kitten has stripes on its head that light up different colours. You can also pet her and tap her head gently to get her to react and say different things. She has a bottle for feeding, and she will let you know when she is full. The kitten really is a nice alternative to baby dolls, with a lot of the same sort of play opportunities. This VTech Glitter Me Kitten is pretty darn cute, but I find the voice is annoying. The kitten doesn't make purr or meow sounds, instead the voice of the kitten says "purr" and "meow". But, as a toddler toy, it really is super cute.

When this super cute, super cuddly meow-gical kitty is happy or when you stroke her head, she will move her paw and place a glitter stamp on your hand to show you she loves you (ink washes off with soap and water). Is she hungry, sleepy or itchy? Colour-changing stripes on her head will show you how she’s feeling. I have a niece who just adores animals of all kinds…she desperately wants a pet, but the landlord where they live won’t allow pets at all. So, when I saw the V-Tech Glitter Me Kitten on offer, I immediately thought of my niece and how it might help her to have a little kitten friend. When I first saw the Glitter Me Kitten up close, I knew my niece would love her because she is incredibly adorable…she is snow white with rainbow accents, big soulful eyes, and a sweet face…she also has a sweet little voice to match…she was perfect for my five-year-old niece! And, indeed, my niece loved her right away. I like that there are 2 volume levels (low and high) and an off switch. There is also a battery saving feature that automatically turns the cat off after a few minutes of inactivity.
She also comes with a little sparkle stamp that she can place on your hand. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to get a clear impression from the stamp. It's a bit disappointing. Thankfully though, the ink washes away very easily. This Glitter Me Kitten by VTech is even more adorable in person and was a huge hit with my cat obsessed toddler!! She has the sweetest little face and voice and has incredibly soft fur. My daughter loves that the stripes on her head light up 11 different colours to show her mood and that she can cheer her up or help her with any problems she is having (ex. itchy, has the hiccups, etc.). I have attached a picture of what she does and what the colours stand for from the online instruction manual. It doesn’t come with these instructions because they are trying to reduce their carbon footprint, however, the list is quite extensive so I really think they should be included. In my opinion, one of the neatest things things about this toy is the English translation feature. The kitty will meow and purr and you can translate this to English by pressing her tummy. Sometimes she will say “I’m hungry” or “let’s play” etc., but my daughter loves to find out what her meows and noises truly mean.This kitty gets hungry quite often but you can feed her with the included bottle. Just put it into her mouth and gently press and hold for a few seconds or press down 3 times. If you overfeed her, she will let you know by hiccuping or burping.
They're based in convenient locations including supermarkets, newsagents and train stations. Plus they're often open late and on Sundays.
