About this deal

The Cybermen, who just recently appeared on television with the Twelfth Doctor and Missy in the epic Series 10 finale, World Enough And Time / The Doctor Falls, first appeared over fifty years ago! Hailing from Mondas, the Cybermen tried to invade Earth but, thankfully, the First Doctor was on hand to help out in the 1966 classic, The Tenth Planet. Over the years, the Cybermen battled the Time Lord time and again – and almost every time with a shiny new upgrade. Read more here. Must Watch Stories: Dr. Fourth is a children's picture book written and illustrated by Adam Hargreaves and is a part of the Doctor Who Meets Mr Men and Little Miss series, which tells a story about the Fourth Doctor on the run with his companion, Sarah Jane Smith, from the Daleks who are chasing them. Today is National Dr Who/T.A.R.D.I.S. Day (23 November) and I thought it would be apropos to read this today. This atrocious and unambitious piece of garbage practically plagiarizes Castrovalva - it is the exact same plot, but it takes place inside a supermarket. Really? I mean really? Yet another fun edition to this new run of books, Dr Fifth has a few good things going for it. First of all, the story is lots of fun, set on a mission to the shops (of course!). Dr. Fifth is a children's picture book written and illustrated by Adam Hargreaves and is a part of the Doctor Who Meets Mr Men and Little Miss series, which tells a story about the Fifth Doctor being trapped by the Master in the most dastardly places on Earth – a supermarket. Trapped with him are his companions Tegan Jovanka, Adric, and Nyssa. Today is National Dr Who/T.A.R.D.I.S. Day (23 November) and I thought it would be apropos to read this today.

Next month sees the release of the next four titles in the Dr. Men book range, celebrating two of the world’s most iconic franchises, Doctor Who and Mr. Men.

I don’t mind a female Doctor, it really is just a branding question. I’m just saying will a thirteen figure be a Doctor Who Little Miss Figure rather than a Doctor Who Mr Men Figure? I fully understand that the writing on the base only states Dr and the number and I’m not questioning the casting. But look out, it's the ascendingly-challenged Daleks and, with the exception of Dale the Dalek whose more akin to a handwhisk than a Dalek, they're hell-bent on exterminating Dr. Fourth and anything that stands between them (except moving traffic, of course.) This series of Mr Men derived Doctor Who books (one for each Doctor) is great fun - aimed particularly at fans of Doctor Who and the Mr Men alike. The other thing I was pleasantly surprised by was how Adam Hargreaves had certainly done his homework on this one. Or rather, of all his research (I understand he's not a Doctor Who fan, and had to do a lot of reading and watching to get his stories), I was impressed by the thins one in particular since it features one of the most crowded TARDIS crews in the show's history. The second group of books was released on 29 August 2017. Then, Dr. Tenth: Christmas Surprise! was released on 17 October 2017. The third group of books was released on 6 February 2018. Later that year, on 6 November, a new book starring the then-recently debuted Thirteenth Doctor was released.Classic creatures the Silurians were here long before the human race and didn’t look too kindly upon our kind. The Third Doctor sympathised with their cause when we first met them in 1970. In the Eighties, they teamed up with the Sea Devils for the Fifth Doctor tale, Warriors From the Deep. In recent times, the Eleventh Doctor befriended Silurian Madame Vastra who described herself as a “lizard from the dawn of time”! She, with her wife Jenny and the Sontaran Strax shared numerous adventures with that particular regeneration and one with his successor, the Twelfth Doctor. Read more here. Must Watch Stories: This hairy beast is not as cute as it might appear! In actual fact, however, in Doctor Who the Yeti were robots created by The Great Intelligence in the Second Doctor era (The Great Intelligence would go on to return and face the Eleventh Doctor and Clara in Series Seven). Appearing in 1930s Tibet and then in the Underground in Sixties London, the Yeti are a fearsome foe whose war cry sounds not unlike a very slow toilet flush. A Yeti also made a brief cameo in 20th Anniversary Special, The Five Doctors, but it’s unclear if this was real or robot… Read more here. Must Watch Stories: He could have gone with a later team-up , but this one (with Nyssa, Tegan & Adric) is the most well-known, I'm sure y0u would agree.

Ever the trouble-maker, the Master has often teamed up with the Cybermen and even the Daleks! Read more here. Must Watch Stories: Earlier this year, Adam Hargreaves also created four new characters to mark the Mr Men’s 45th anniversary: Mr Marvellous, Little Miss Fabulous, Mr Adventure and Little Miss Sparkle. He told the Guardian at the time: “I hope my dad would have liked my new books – and that he would think they were in keeping with the rest of the series.Well I have a tame 11 year old Who fan and she loves the Little Miss books so hopefully a Dr Thirteen figure will follow at some point under the Little Miss branding and style to tie in with this current Mr Men range. I doubt they will want to stop at 12 and I see no reason why they wouldn’t want to include the latest Doctor at some point.
