About this deal

If you like one of these two, then go for it. If you feel like there is something I’m missing, let me know in the comment. If you don’t like wasting time going through several articles for the right info, I think you’ll like it here. I’ve collated all the info you need here, both review and comparison. Suavecito, on the other hand, is better for those looking for pomade to use on wet hair with a low sheen. How would you feel when you walk outside and the wind blows your hair in a spectacular kind of way?

Layrite Superhold Pomade 4.25oz - Slick Styles

First, we’re going to review this product and the next before attempting to compare them. I know you’ll stay with me while I undress this product. Let’s start: What’s the Product About? Suavecito, on the other hand, is better for those looking for pomade to use on wet hair with a low sheen. In essence, Low sheen for Suavecito and high sheen for Layrite. The price is similar to that of the Suavecito, so there isn’t a lot of savings in that respect. While usage will vary depending on your look and style, I find that you don’t need to use a lot of this pomade to achieve a strong, all-day hold. If you’re looking for a more natural look and feel with a little bit of flexibility, you’ll find that just a dollop will do. If you’re going for the solid “helmet hair” look, a few extra scoops of this stuff is more than capable of getting you there. To each his own. First, we’re going to review this product and the next before attempting to compare them. I know you’ll stay with me while I undress this product. I’ve looked at several articles online right now and I’ve found a lot of useful information on the two brands. One thing that’s missing though, is a coherent resource for anyone wanting to compare or buy any of them.

One of the first things you’ll notice about this Dapper Dan Heavy Hold Pomade is the awesome scent. Once you unscrew the lid off of the metal tin, your nose is greeted with a very unique and masculine fragrance of licorice and vanilla. It smells warm and slightly sweet, without being too strong or overbearing. So this might be a plus or a negative depending on what you like, but the fact that this Viking Revolution Pomade has no scent is a plus in my book. While I do enjoy a great smelling pomade, it’s definitely nice to have an unscented option to go to from time to time. I showed the holding power this stuff has this time. You can get a decently tall pomp going with this stuff. It won’t make your hair stand straight up, but you can get some nice height with it. It was kind of difficult to get a full pomp with it though. You can kind of see the gaps in the middle of my pomp in the picture. It took me quite a while to comb it to where they weren’t so apparent, but I could still tell they were there. Each one of these pomades is specifically formulated to keep pompadours pomping, quiffs quiffing, and side parts…. side partying, I guess?? I don’t know.

The Layrite Superhold is a pomade that comes in a similar size to the Suavecito that is designed for difficult-to-manage hair as well as demanding styles. If you answered yes to either of these questions, then this list of best strong hold pomades is definitely for you my friend. Once I finally got my hair coated evenly with pomade I started forming my pomp. For the first day I decided not to go with a super tall pomp just to show what it looks like in hair. So I just combed a medium pomp and went about my day. Now it does say Hy-Sheen on the tub, however my hair had more of a matte look to it. But hey that’s what they have the super shine for, use it as a topper with this one. What’s not to like about all-natural ingredients? Battle Born Grooming Co. formulates their pomade using only safe, all-natural ingredients that they meticulously source from select farms and growers. It contains no parabens, petrochemicals, animal based ingredients, or artificial colors. Ask any guy that has used Suavecito Firme Hold what they like most about it and I can almost guarantee one of the first things they will mention is the scent. Firme Hold has a very masculine cologne type fragrance that smells damn good in the hair. It isn’t strong or overbearing, but it definitely adds a masculine touch to the hair and it stays there all day.

Layrite Superhold Pomade

If this product gives you that styling flexibility you’re looking for, then I’ll say it’s money well spent. How to use it? One of the things that I really don’t like about oil-based pomades is that they are a total pain in the ass to wash out of the hair. What’s great about this Dapper Dan Heavy Hold Pomade is that even though it’s oil based, it doesn’t contain any petrolatum and it’s water soluble. And while it’s not quite as easy to wash out as a water-based, it’s dramatically easier to get out of the hair compared to most oil-based pomades. Washing it out took me a little bit. It does come out with just water, but it took a little longer than most. I also had to kind of “wash” my hair with my hands under the water. After a couple minutes all of it was out of my hair. Once I got out of the shower and towel dried my hair I noticed that my hair was kind of dried out and coarse. This is one thing I really don’t like about water based pomades. Also why I don’t use them that often, save for a few.

Layrite Superhold Pomade 297g | High Hold | Water Soluble

These unorthodox pomades just don’t dry out your hair or something. Don’t worry though, most people start with Layrite and gradually go for superior quality as they learn more about what to look for in a pomade. Please note that Royal Mail currently classes perfumes, nail polishes, flammable liquids and aerosols as "hazardous materials" and will only accept a limited number of these per parcel. It’s also easy to use. In as little as four steps (taking it out, applying it on the palms, scrubbing on the hair, and styling as you wish), the pomade promises to keep your hair in a steady curl balance. Is It for You? Castor oil – A highly moisturizing oil that’s derived from castor beans. It contains ricinoleic acid and omega-6 fatty acids that have been shown to improve blood circulation to the scalp – which can help promote hair growth. I’ll like to tell you there are many other things, aside from those mentioned in this article, to look for. But they might not be as important. And maybe even be a waste of time? Are you tired of weak pomades that don’t have the balls to keep your hair looking its best all day?
