About this deal

Robbins, M.L., Focella, E.S., Kasle, S. et al. (2011). Naturalistically observed swearing, emotional support, and depressive symptoms in women coping with illness. Health Psychology, 30, 789–792. A lyric about realness – Drake channels his softer side here, reaching out to someone who isn’t being themselves. Use this lyric on that person who needs a pep talk on realness. This book isn't just a romance, it's about a complex main character struggling to deal with the pain of her past and the woman s Still, they fit perfectly into the story and I loved loved loved the storyline but I expected more of the characters. Swear On This Life: Summary

A lyric about friendship – From friendship breakups to cutting out fake and toxic people in his life, Drizzy feels like a weight is lifted off his shoulders. Just remember this lyric when your bestie does you wrong. The shed housed a bunch of old tools that no one used anymore, and it was just beyond a small patch of trees where our property line met the Fishers’. You couldn’t see the shed from either one of our houses. A lyric about wannabes– Drake hates that new rappers are using his style. This is a line we can all relate to when there are people copying your ways. But hey, it means you’re winning, right?

About the author

I was going to bring you a plate of food. My mom leaves us casserole on the nights she has to work. I just didn’t want Brian to know.” Youall know that I am always on the hunt for sweet love stories. So, when I went to Seattle and to Barnes and Nobel, I knew I just had to come out with a lovely, heart warming feel-good story. A story which isn’t hard to read, in which I can dive into, forget the world around me and fall in love with the characters and the storyline. A lyric about pride – This lyric boasts Drake’s three greatest qualities. He faces risks in life, but he takes them to avoid failure. Drizzy’s proud of that strength. He’s also proud of his honesty and tight circle. I didn’t think he even knew about my mom—I thought it was the big family secret. But then again, there’s no such thing in a small town.

This is hands down this author’s best work to date. It was such a truly beautiful story even through the tears and pain of this amazing couple’s past, the anger of how things ended, and the walls that have been built up over the years that have passed. A romantic reader will hang on every word of this book and embrace and swoon for days to come. I can't even put in my favorite quotes because it will spoil the story but it's all in the writing and for me those last few lines. A lyric about finding yourself –Consider yourself a “lost boy”? Who needs Peter Pan to fly when you can do it all by yourself? Lyrical wordplay at its finest. A lyric about friends – Drake learned the hard way with some of his friends – most particularly The Weeknd, whom this line is probably aimed at ( The Weeknd refused to sign with Drake’s OVO label). A perfect line to throw out there when warning fake people off.

Interesting books

It feels like the only time you see me is when you turn your head to the side and look at me differently” I always took care to make sure my clothes were clean and my face washed. After my mom left, my dad started hanging around with Susan, a woman who worked as a maid at a nearby motel. She didn’t dress like a maid, but she always brought us those little soaps from the motel bathroom, so I guessed she was probably a maid. I had to use cheap motel soap for everything, including washing my hair, so naturally, after a few weeks of that, my bouncy brown curls became a frizzy mess. The kids on the bus called me Medusa. If only I had been that scary. To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.” —Ralph Waldo Emerson

Renee essentially tells a story within another story. We meet Emiline, our heroine, who's an adjunct writing instructor struggling to write herself. She's in a long term relationship with her boyfriend Trevor, an ex football player. And things are overall okay for Emiline. She thinks she's happy but is frustrated by her inability to carve her own path, to write something she can get published. She feels as though everyone is miles ahead of her, getting things done, and she can't even figure out how to get a short story right.Jase and Emiline were both characters I completely adored. They shared a connection and unbreakable bond. I rooted for these two to be together so hard. I loved Em’s strength and Jase’s beautiful heart. They were both such wonderful characters. When a bestselling debut novel from mysterious author J.Colby becomes the literary event of the year, Emiline reads it reluctantly. As an adjunct writing instructor at UC San Diego with her own stalled literary career and a bumpy long-term relationship, Emiline isn’t thrilled to celebrate the accomplishments of a young and gifted writer. A lyric about Taylor Swift– Yeah, we didn’t see this one coming, either. Apparently, Drake is a Swiftie! The rapper praises Taylor Swift in Red Button, claiming she’s the “only one” that could make him “drop the album just a little later.” This alludes to Drizzy dropping Her Loss weeks after Taylor’s Midnights to avoid the competition. A lyric about growth – With change and growth comes a new personality, but for Drake, he’s still the same humble guy he was before all the money and fame. When people come at you with the “you’ve changed”, this one-liner will be convenient.
