About this deal

So the real question, is why Indy went to all the trouble trying to stop them when actually he could have just sat back and read a book and let them go all melty. because they get added to the discard pile that will become the deck next round, you know that you’re giving yourself a head start going forwards! I guess it would have been nice to have a round reminder on the back of the rulebook to keep things right and avoid having to revisit the entire rulebook. There are variable setups and phases for the game to make sure you get your money’s worth and supports 2-10 players. My only complaint is that a few of the minis that came with Polygon’s set are a bit warped, but it’s nothing a little hot water and careful reposing can’t fix.

I like what it is trying to do and what it appears to be, I’m just not too sure how many times I’ll pick it out for playing over other games that Funko currently offer in their catalogue. Generally, just to the next page of the journal and the next part of the story after losing all the coins on offer in that puzzle. First couple of games are going to take a little bit longer, especially as your not entirely sure how the timed phase will play out but ongoing games will be done well within 45 minutes. Or it will move the villain along the tiles and activate its power if it happens to meet a hero character.Because in Indiana Jones Sands of Adventure, we are taking on well-loved characters from the brilliant adventure franchise to work together and rescue the Ark of the Covenant before it falls into the wrong hands! With every players turn in the first phase of each round, there was a consequence of either adding gems to the Sand Timer or activating the villain, or sometimes both.

Something I thought was really cool was the first time the boxes were used to build a set, for lack of a better word. The presentation and artwork is extremely impressive, and does a great service to the source material.Indiana Jones: Sands of Adventure was a blast to play, and we had fun, but the game is pretty much the same game every time with the same three villains and the same game arc. If you haven’t, you can still play the game and have fun but you should bookmark this page, go watch the films, and then come back to read this later. All of these games were made in collaboration with Lucasfilm and are designed for a wide range of players. Each of the three chapters comes in its own envelope, and all the things you need are included within.

Here it reminds me a bit of 5 Minute Marvel (or one of the other 5-minute games if you’ve played them).Players still need to lay cards in turn, but now when players stop laying cards they can draw a new action card off the deck…and that might just be the vital linking colour/symbol or another attack card! But it’s effectively a waste of a collected card because it’s not one you can use to add to your hand…ssssssneaky!

Overall, the pathways are fun and it’s harder than it seems to visually draw the path while looking at the map. The puzzles come in two broad varieties – A] a set of red boxes, each standing for a letter in the answer and B] a multiple choice set of red words where you have to figure out which choice is correct. The game felt you were in a movie:the gather phase feeling you were gathering information and resources, but knowing that a big battle was coming … you just didn’t know when! It's quite hard to show or say too much with a game like this, but I will keep this review 100% spoiler free, as a large part of what makes this game great is the sense of discovery, and I do not want to spoil that for you. Everything is done very professionally with this company and always lets you know every step of the process. This is a fast playing, strategic, hand management, real-time, push-your-luck, deck building, pattern matching, action selection, worker placement, asymmetrical ability game that is really fun! The components are really evocative of the Indiana Jones films and the giant and timer works really well – it suddenly tips and swings and everyone suddenly races into action to try and co-ordinate colours and icons on cards in a chain effect to try and get those villains gone!
