About this deal

The horrific nature of Mcgreavy’s crimes meant that the ripples were, and still are, felt far and wide. Clive has not spoken out since the murders and nobody knows where he is, evidently, the horror of an old school friend murdering his young children was too much to fathom. After questioning the couple, the police ruled them out as suspects and began thinking of who it could have been.

However, he was dismissed from the Navy in August 1971, after being court-martialled for starting a fire that destroyed a mess wardroom. They shepherded him out quickly – they didn’t bring him in till the last minute, till the magistrates were ready, and they took him out straight away.

In 2006, McGreavy again became headline news after he was transferred to an open prison and allowed to stay in a bail hostel in Liverpool. All his siblings would go on bike rides, have picnics, and even skiing depending on where they were at the time. It should come as no surprise that she was horrified that McGreavy was released from prison in 2019.

He doesn't deserve to walk free and live his life when my cousins can't, he gave up the right when he took there (sic) lives! Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item.In June 1973, MGreavy pleaded guilty to three counts of murder at a hearing lasting barely eight minutes. Clive and Elsie had been school friends, and there was a five-year age difference between them; they had married in September 1968 when Elsie was 16 and pregnant with Paul. This could mean that one year he was being educated in an army school in England, the next, in Germany.

Despite being jobless and broke, he started to fantasise about having a big, traditional, and therefore expensive, wedding. Clive and Elsie were quickly eliminated as suspects, and that’s when police learned that the only other person with access would have been David McGreavy. The couple were extremely trusting of David and the children had a great relationship with him so this did not flag up as a concern. I can’t remember where I read it but one psychiatric explanation for his crimes was that he had been suffering from an alcohol-induced psychosis on the night of the triple murder. The name of one of the most reviled killers in Britain will not be one that is at the forefront of the mind of any reader of true crime.
