I think things moved a bit fast, but since we don’t know how things ended off after Lucie brought him back, I won’t say that their relationship developed too fast because we don’t even know how Jesse reacted. and how she told james that she was afraid of snakes even though she knew it was silly, and that she wished she could play the cello, and that she thought her best feature was her hair. I think a few sentences of explanation could have been easily mentioned in the book, specially considering we have a character who was Indian. There’s no official date set for the next book, Chain of Thorns, but I would willingly battle 5 mandikhor demons to get my hands on a copy now!

I want to thank Tandem Collective, Walker Books and Cassandra Clare for allowing me to read this book and give my personal thoughts. Yeah, we got to see Ariadne determined to win Anna back, and their scenes at the Hell Ruelle, but what I really wanted was emotional development. Lastly: I think we can all agree that the most unproblematic character was Oscar the Golden Retriever.

James and Cordelia must try their best to convince everyone of their marriage, while the Merry Thieves help in finding out who is the killer of the Shadowhunters. I plan on re-reading this soon as I know there are so many things that I've missed and I also love putting myself through pain.

I was originally going to read my fairyloot copy when it came, but it's already been a month and it's not here, so instead I bought the paperback.To give of our hearts, to let them be filled and filled again with the love that consecrates us all.
