About this deal

They’re perfect to deepen children’s understanding of the story and develop a variety of key literacy skills. My favourite character was Maya because she suspected the evil boss lilith from the start even though no-one else did. Fun, fantastical and laugh out loud – it has all a kid’s book needs to be a great bedtime adventure of a read. We celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stories, traditions and living cultures; and we pay our respects to Elders past and present.

The Great Dream Robbery | BookTrust

It is a book that teaches you that even when happiness seems miles away it is much, much closer than you think! The hilarious voice of Greg and Chris comes through throughout and the idea of an adventure within a dream, a hospital heist and Dream Bandits will really set this book apart from anything else in the market. Read for Good ®, Readathon ® and Track My Read ® are all registered trademarks of registered charity, Read for Good. So, it’s not bad, I liked the cover, but I could do without all the extras, found myself skimming through them by the end.

But it's not just a dream - it's real and Maya and her new friends the Dream Bandits must rescue the Professor before it's too late!

This madcap adventure could have only been dreamt up by the crazy minds of Greg James and Chris Smith, the duo behind the brilliant Kid Normal series. In amongst the madness there are subtle nods to facing up to fear, tackling things head on and putting demons to bed. The concept of exploring people's dreams was very fun to read about and the characters were realistic and likeable.

My favourite person was Maya ClayTon, she was so talkative and I loved her thoughts and what she kept dreaming of, the plot twists interested me the most, and yes, I would recommend to my friends who loves adventure stories and plot twists. It was quite fun to have the narrator speak you, the reader, directly throughout the book definitely added another layer of interaction with the story. The Great Dream Robbery’ is a book written by BBC Radio 1 hosts and children’s authors, Greg James and Chris Smith. The way it was written was very exciting was very intriguing because of the mystery of the dream trap dad.
