But this is really so different from any other Ana Huang character or dynamic and yet it's still on-brand and has everything you love about her worlds and writing!
She LITERALLY meant it when she made a video saying Kai will be extremely different and very VERY gentlemanly. Although the relationship portrayed in this story is not flawless, it exhibits fewer toxicity elements compared to the norm, making it a notable departure from the genre's conventions. Isabella was a truly unique character with a personality that was equal parts sassy, charming, and witty.Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. Another bonus which made me love the book even more were the little cameos of certain Twisted characters… it just made me so happy to see them again even if it was only for a short time! The way I related to both Kai and Isabella in so many different ways made me fall in love with both of them even more! While I enjoyed Kai and Isabella together, their story just felt a bit generic and incredibly predictable.

I felt seen and represented and in some way, Ana made me fall for a morally white MMC - which is very rare. As Chinese-Filipino, I rarely see books with such representation so it was so beautiful to see it in this book and see how Ana integrated little bits of the culture throughout!
