About this deal

Damian possesses all the weakness of a normal human male (though he's been trained to resist them for longer than most pre-adult human males). Damian also has a killer instinct; though he can control it, it's still a great weakness. Damian possessed superpowers similar to that of Superman following his resurrection, though this was short-lived. However in the current Batman Vs Robin comic, he is shown to have magic abilities. Damian will appear as Robin in the upcoming DC Film Universe, beginning with The Brave and the Bold. The series will mark his first live-action appearance.

After Nyssa's apparent death at the hands of Cassandra Cain, Talia became the sole Demon's Head. However, the League of Assassins had apparently splintered and Cassandra Cain had gained partial control. In this book, Robin teams up with Superman's ten-year-old son Jonathan Kent, who he befriended previously during a test facilitated by Batman and Superman. [90] Together, they form the Super Sons. In the first volume, Damian and Jon team against Kid Amazo, a child affected by a virus which grants powers to ordinary humans. They defeat him and Damian decides to train Jon, but Jon's desire to join the Teen Titans against Damian's wishes creates ongoing conflict between the boys. Batman and Superman construct an underwater base for the Super Sons, which Jon refers to as the "Fortress of Attitude," much to Damian's chagrin. The team returned in The Adventures of the Super-Sons, where they spend their summer pursuing justice against Rex Luthor, an alien child who imitates Lex Luthor and attempts to assemble his own team of child-villains modeled after famous Earth ones. [91] Changes made to Jon's character make the future of this team uncertain. [92] Despite the book's cancellation, the characters have subsequently appeared as a team in other series. [93] No More Teen Titans [ edit ] As part of DC's 2016 relaunch of its titles, DC Rebirth, Damian is featured in three titles: Teen Titans, where he becomes the team's leader to defeat Ra's al Ghul and succeed Red Robin (Tim Drake) as leader, Super Sons, co-starring with Jonathan Kent, the son of Superman and the new Superboy and Nightwing, where he has a supporting role. Superboy and Damian make a new hero duo. In the DC Rebirth Batman Beyond series, Damian has succeeded his grandfather as the new Ra's Al Ghul. However, after an antagonistic encounter with his estranged father and the new Batman, Terry McGinnis he reforms and partly reconciles with Bruce.Although this character was originally introduced during DC's Earth-One era of publication, their existence following the events of the 1985–86 limited series Crisis on Infinite Earths remains intact. However, some elements of the character's Pre-Crisis history may have been altered or removed for Post-Crisis New Earth continuity, and should be considered apocryphal. Ra's al Ghul's origin told for the first time. It is OK. This is supposed to be a sequel to Son of the Demon but O'Neil completely ignores the story of Talia's mother from that, changing who she was for no good reason. Just something I thought was odd. In this new timeline, Bruce Wayne and Damian patrol Gotham City as Batman and Robin for the first time together. They struggle with the exploration of their father-son dynamic, as Bruce tries to become a more positive role model. Trying to instill trust and compassion in Damian, he buys him a dog named Titus. They're targeted by the assassin NoBody, a son of Bruce's former mentor Henri Ducard who believes that the super-hero crusade is insane and all criminals must be murdered. Taking advantage of Robin's brutal nature as a trained killer, he tries to convince the young vigilante to switch sides and join his cause. Damian later kills NoBody with his bare hands. In League of Batmen (2001), the sequel to Brotherhood of the Bat, Tallant leads his own team of variant Batmen to combat the plague that was al Ghul's legacy. During the battle, Tallant discovers that his grandfather is the one who murdered his father and then cloned him. Ra's even sent the clone to murder his own daughter. Because of the deaths of his parents at Ra's's hands, Tallant has completed following his father's tragic path as Batman. The new Dark Knight desires justice for his parents along with trying to stop his grandfather while having to battle his father's murderous double. Ra's Al Ghul is resurrected. Terrorists seize the Gotham Chemical Plant. The Gotham City Police Department surrounds the plant. The insurgents delay negotiating for the hostages, while they complete their actual mission. Commissioner James Gordon signals for the Batman. Just as one of the insurgents is about to defile a pregnant hostage, the Batman storms the plant. After a tense confrontation, the Batman subdues the insurgents, and rescues the hostages, though not without taking a bullet to his abdomen. The Batman leaves the interrogation of the prisoners to Gordon. En route home, the Batman succumbs to his injury.

First up is "Son of the Demon," a James-Bond-style globetrotting adventure that sees Batman sneaking into military bases and trying to thwart a global catastrophe caused by weather satellites, all while teaming up with Ra's and entering a love affair with his daughter, Talia. There's not much to latch onto in this one. The plot blasts forward so fast that there's no time to really live in any of its moments, and the whole Talia thing doesn't feel earned in the slightest. The dialogue is heavily lame, the action is derivative, and the plot is bananas. The only real reason to read this is if you're a huge fan of Grant Morrison's Batman and Son, to which this serves as a prequel. I don't think you actually need to read it to understand Batman and Son, though, so I'd really say to just skip this. In the Elseworlds story, The Brotherhood of the Bat (1995), a version named Tallant Wayne appears, who crusades against his grandfather Ra's al Ghul. Brotherhood of the Bat features a future in which Ra's al Ghul discovers the Batcave following Bruce Wayne's death, and outfits the League of Assassins in variant Batman costumes based on Wayne's rejected designs. Talia and Bruce's son joins the Brotherhood in his father's costume, to destroy it from within. [23] During the " Leviathan" story arc, when his mother Talia puts a price on his head and is targeted by the most dangerous and skilled assassins, Bruce faked Damian's death and secluded him in the Batcave to protect him while he goes undercover to confront Talia and her minions. But against his father's wishes, he escapes, donning a new costume under the name of Redbird. [62] Damian Wayne appears in Infinite Crisis, voiced by James Arnold Taylor. Damian Wayne is the equivalent of Robin from the "Nightmare" universe, and appears as one of the available "champions". As DC adopted higher-end formats in the ’80s, one of the publisher’s biggest splashes was Batman: Son of the Demon, by Mike W. Barr and Jerry Bingham.

The three stories were collected before — in softcover in 2012, but that edition is long out of print.

Standard caveat: This has yet to be solicited by DC Comics, so any number of things can change between now and the September publication date. DC’s books are often a moving target, getting solicited, cancelled, resolicited and whatnot. So keep your eyes peeled for updates.Damian Wayne appears as a playable character in Lego DC Super-Villains, voiced again by Stuart Allan.

Damian Wayne was supposed to make his debut in the Batman: Arkham series as the lead character in a post– Batman: Arkham Knight game by WB Montreal, but the project was cancelled. [114] [115] To the surprise of Batman, Talia introduced him to his son, a boy named Damian who she bore in secret and was raised by the League of Assassins. Talia placed him in the care of Batman as part of a grand scheme involving ninja man-bats and the kidnapping of the British Prime Minister's wife. Batman was unsure whether Damian was truly his son, but he attempted to deal with the spoiled, hot-tempered child anyway. Damian, effectively raised to be an assassin, killed a criminal and nearly killed Tim Drake, the newest Robin. Shortly afterwards, father, mother, and son confronted each other on a ship which was destroyed by a torpedo. Talia and Damian survived the explosion, but Damian was severely injured and underwent a transplant of all his major organs. A fairly underwhelming collection of three graphic novels originally published in the late 80s/early 90s that comprise the "Demon Trilogy," a trio of stories about Ra's Al Ghul that have essentially nothing to do with each other. As far as I can tell, the only thing that unifies these stories is the existence of Ra's Al Ghul and the word "Demon" appearing in all three titles. Her betrayal was caused out of necessity and Talia helped Batman escape from Ra's traps, regretting her previous actions. One of Ra's henchmen shot Talia, almost killing her because of her meddling. Ra's killed the thug and then took his daughter to the Lazarus Pit, where Talia was revived, but her defection from her father's side caused a final confrontation between Batman and Ra's, in which Ra's apparently died. Talia and Batman escaped Ra's headquarters in Infinity Island, just as the whole island was destroyed during a volcanic eruption. After these events, Talia decided to leave Bruce and find her place in the world, alone. [18]Drawing: Damian got the gift of Drawing. He painted a family portrait and in his first period as Robin he sketched a lot. Damian briefly appears as a newborn child in the third season, titled Outsiders, episode "Rescue Op" in his mother's arms. And again as a toddler in the fourth season, titled "Phantoms", one year later in "Tale of Two Sisters" and "I Know Why the Caged Cat Sings." This event concludes with " Shadow War" between The League of Assassins and Deathstroke Inc, which ends with Talia killing Slade in a one-on-one battle, but shortly afterward the Deathstroke imposter reveals himself to be Geo-Force, who plotted this whole war in hope of having both Slade and Talia killing each other. Damian and Bruce arrive shortly soon and help Talia defeat Geo-Force, with Damian managing to convince his mother to not kill Geo-Force afterward because his grandfather believed that their family could be better than this. [100] Skills and abilities [ edit ] While Batman was successful in preventing the assassination of Superman, he was unable to stop Nyssa from killing Ra's. This, in turn, was actually part of a greater plan concocted by Ra's, who wanted to ensure that his daughters would accept their destinies as his heirs, and take up his genocidal campaign. Realizing and accepting this, Nyssa and Talia become the heads of The Demon and led the League of Assassins, with Talia disavowing her love for Bruce Wayne as another result of her torture at Nyssa's hands. The two sisters both declared Batman their enemy.
