About this deal

Unlike regular e-drum pads, Alesis Strike features an audio interface that you can use to sample, loop, edit, and record the sound of your drums as you’re playing. The PylePro PTED01 allows the player to create their own music. Many audio controls here will enable you to create and customize your own sounds – and record them. Overall, the main reason why I’m recommending Pyle’s PTEDRL11 is that it’s one of the best portable electronic drum pads, even when compared to models twice its price.

The gorgeous blue LED lights illuminate the SamplePad and activate whenever you hit any of the pads. The PylePro PTED01 is another excellent kit for drummers of all levels. It is less expensive than the Yamaha above but still carries great weight. But honestly. If you get either of these two, you’re not going to be upset. Both are great machines and do way more than most people will ever need. Whether you’re learning to drum, need a new toy or just want something to take on the road. For this reason, I would recommend it to anyone. When they’re ready to get a more sophisticated device, the transition will be much smoother. Conclusion Now that you have made it through this review, you should be ready to find the perfect practice kit. But you may have to dig a little deeper because some sources are not reliable. Most importantly, if you are a beginner, or you have kids who wish to drum, expensive drum sets will not help. These can be a great starting point.

The speakers are located on the sides, while the drum module & display are placed on the top of the pad. Although I’m not a fan of side speakers, I love how Pyle ensured they occupy the least amount of space. You can learn the basics of tempo, time, and striking, but you won’t have an opportunity to develop your hand-eye-leg coordination skills as much. Other Control: Pad & Bass Pedal Sensitivity Adjustment: Preset: 5 types (Fix, 1-4), Custom Setting: 10 The electric drum kit allows the drummer to assign the sounds on a pad-to-pad ground. They can also change the sound of all pads a whole. For the first option, you have more room for customization, as well as fine-tuning for sound ranges. Again, this is the way electronic drum kits work, and therefore you have an opportunity to experience everything first hand. This is how you start to learn to play drums. Sound quality It’s one of the best-sounding electronic drum set pads out there tone-wise, as each voice was designed to be as close to acoustic voices as possible.Pyle is a reputable American manufacturer of high-quality music and audio gear. Their catalog features a variety of electronic drum pads represented by the acclaimed PTED01. The main difference is that electronic drums pads come with pads and speakers. In other words, tabletop, or roll up kits are simply drum pads. Full-featured drumming fun for drummers just starting out or non-drummers who just want to have fun!

The unit itself weighs in at a sturdy 9 pounds, so it is a couple of pounds heavier than the Pyle. If you want portability it’s worth being aware of, but that’s still pretty lightweight for lugging. The main unit is really nicely portable as it only weighs in at 7.3 pounds, almost 2 pounds less than the Yamaha for example. The pads are good and responsive, you’ll probably find you get the odd missed hit once in a while with really fast drumming. But that’s to be expected with this type of gear.

After touching the surface of the pads, you’ll notice how smooth they are; upon activating the device, you’ll realize that the pads can recognize everything from slight bumps to the strongest smashing and still produce the same quality of sound. There is also a game function on the compact kit 4 to help the drummer learn and make massive improvements in core areas like strokes strength, playing in line with tempo, and also playing in the right time signature using the metronome. Combine your favourite sounds across the nine drumming surfaces, then save your perfect instrument to one of the five user presets. The DD70 by Gear4music features 265 different percussion sounds – including snare drums, toms, congas and electronic sounds – plus 45 preset drum kits. However, sound quality is subjective. Everyone prefers different sounds. So, it may not be a very good idea to give my opinion too much weight. Although it’s a basic low-end model, it offers a decently good sound, a variety of selectable drum voices and kits, and a simplified interface that even beginners can use effortlessly.

They’re also incredibly silent. You no longer need to worry about bothering the neighbors while you play the drums. A rhythm pattern is displayed on the LCD screen for the drum player to play and imitate. This feature is great for learning and getting familiar with the basics of drum playing by the beginner drummer. For example, a kit with 7 drum presets can give the player an immersive experience and allow them to create their own customized beats. Visible on the face of this electronic drum kit is the pads, a total of 4 pads for playing on the kit. At the top centre of the kit is the LCD display for showing the operation or mode currently in use. It also has a tuning dial for changing and adjusting settings shown on the display. The speaker is positioned slightly above the LCD display for sound output.

The Alesis looks quite similar to the Pyle-Pr. It has the same 7 pad layout, same body shape, the same foot pedals and weighs in at the same 7.3 pounds. All of which is good news. Another benefit of considering these compatible drums is easy transportation. Many times, drummers in bands face a significant challenge carrying their gear around. It is even worse for those who don’t have their own van and have to use the subway. Acoustic drums are heavy and perhaps discouraging for many musicians.
