About this deal

It does however feature a new pump aesthetic, which dissipates an array of LEDs for an appropriately neon look. The only size missing really is a single-fan option, such as a 120mm radiator variant which we would like to see part of the new lineup to really complete it. There’s also eight individually addressable RGB LEDs per fan, with the lighting customizable by the company’s comprehensive iCUE software. Fan curves, excessively checking temperatures, and the wild ways they attempt to bring it down as low as possible, it’d be impressive if it weren’t so dry.

The acoustic results are a little louder than most other coolers I’ve tested in this scenario, but the noise level is still acceptable. When the coolant temperature is reached, the LEDs on the water block and the fans will flash red until it is out of the danger zone. The increased cooling challenges posed by Raptor Lake mean that we’ve had to change some of the ways we test coolers. We will say that the inclusion of thermal paste is welcome, as it also comes pre-applied with Corsair’s XTM70 compound, saving you the trouble of having to apply a pea-sized dot of your own. A split-flow copper cold plate rapidly absorbs heat from your CPU, while powerful ML RGB Series fans dispel that heat after it is carried to the radiator, utilizing magnetic levitation bearings to spin at up to 2,400 RPM with precise PWM control. When I did my first Corsair cooler review I was having a hard time finding it's product page because there were so many similarly named modelsI assume most review items are given to you by the companies? The liquid CPU cooler radiator is designed to hold two 120mm fans and measures 277 mm x 120 mm x 27 mm and is, per Corsair’s advertising, meant for “low-noise cooling and bold styling”. The two giant fans it comes with are the easiest part to install, and you can control them all through iCUE with your own fan curves, RGB goodness and more.

Cooling has also been a staple of the company's lineup for a long time, with its flagship iCUE H170i Elite LCD XT proving to be the strongest cooler we’ve tested thus far with Intel’s i9-13900K. Modern AMD and Intel CPUs are designed to run fairly hot without any problems – up to 95 degrees Celsius for AMD Ryzen 7000 CPUs, and up to 100 C for Intel’s Core i9-13900K. Some coolers were able to pass Cinebench R23 multicore testing with Intel’s 12th Gen i9-12900K when power limits were removed (although only the strongest models were able to pass that test).

Inside, we’ve got a 1TB NVMe installed directly onto the motherboard, as well as a PCIe adapter hosting another 1TB NVMe. To use iCUE, you have to install the included iCUE Commander Core controller which can cause trouble for those building in more compact cases, when bundled alongside the 240mm radiator. From the iCUE software interface, you can control fan speeds, pump speeds, monitor CPU temperatures, monitor coolant temperatures, and (of course) control your RGB light shows. This isn’t the thickest (or thinnest) radiator we’ve seen, but it should be compatible with almost any case that supports a 240mm AIO.

The CORSAIR iCUE H100i ELITE CAPELLIX Liquid CPU Cooler delivers powerful, low-noise cooling for your CPU, with a 240mm radiator, two CORSAIR ML120 RGB PWM fans, and an ultrabright CAPELLIX RGB pump head. The water block on the CORSAIR iCUE H100i ELITE CAPELLIX is a bit different from older CORSAIR offerings as it features a Split-Flow copper cold plate. While performance wasn’t directly affected, knowing that the PC is a lot cooler on the inside is a comfort, and would allow for our CPU to achieve slightly higher boosting speeds.
