About this deal

But I can’t pretend it’s all in my head when a false accusation is made against me that could destroy my life – and Toby’s – forever.

This one left a burning in my gut that wasn't just acid. From the start it was a bit of a mystery. The prologue had no names so all that was known was it was a woman in danger. The living arrangement was bizarre for me. The calm just friends split that decide to live right next door to each other for the sake of their son? I don't see it. All the pet peeves and strain would've been already there with he whole love to hate scale. The characters were so well developed. The author really built on their strengths and weaknesses throughout the story. I honestly felt like Jane was sabotaging her relationships, but eventually, I'm glad she saw some sense to salvage what she had despite her traumatic childhood. Also, can I just say it was refreshing to see that there wasn't just a male abuser in this story. There are women in real life who are abusive and controlling, so as horrible as it is, it's good to see that in a storyline too. A couple is getting divorced. Both parties have amicably moved on in life and found other partners. Everyone involved seems to get along well. In fact, they all become close "friends". For the children's convenience, both couples agree to move and live next door to one another. (Yes, you read that right!) They all "think" this is a great idea. What could possibly happen?

THE JAPANESE WIFE NEXT DOOR was recommended to me by a couple different people who called it one of the dirtiest, nastiest and outright strangest movies ever made. I'm not a huge fan of the "Pinku" movies but I've seen enough to know that there's very little plot and mostly just silly sex and nudity. Hey, I've sat through enough softcore Cinemax movies to be okay with that but… It was a light an enjoyable read. It has a calm, spring-like atmosphere with lots of flowers and old(er) ladies, who do old lady things, like do gardening, nosy on their neighbours, gossip, and keep secrets. I mentioned it is tense.that's probably an understatement as it had me shouting and furious at one character....and as for the ending, well it was superb This light-hearted and satirical pinku opens with mild-mannered salaryman Takashi (Naohiro Hirakawa) in a singles bar looking for a girl. He’s chatted-up by two attractive young women: Sakura (Reiko Yamaguchi) and Ryoko (Lemon Hanazawa). Sakura wins out with a promise of cheap sex and within six months the pair are married. The newlyweds move in with Takashi's extended family and Sakura is soon causing consternation with her loud, uninhibited sexual performances. Worse, her insatiable sex drive exhausts Takashi who loses interest in sex and takes to staying away to avoid sex. Sakura's insatiable libido needs an outlet and she’s soon seducing Takashi's grandfather Tomekichi (Koji Makimura), his sister Yayoi (Kaoru Akitsu) and his father Mitsuo (Kikujiro Honda). The programme is about a couple, George Basset ( John Alderton) and Suzie Basset ( Hannah Gordon). Each tries to start afresh after their divorce. They move to the country, only to find that they have moved into adjoining cottages. [1] We’re like the bloody Four Musketeers aren’t we, in this new venture of ours. You, me, Carol and Rob. All for one and one for all.”
