An outstanding all-purpose fertiliser, Q4 Pelleted Fertiliser is a favourite amongst experienced gardeners and a ‘must have’ product. Easy-to-use, apply Q4 Plus Fertiliser when soil is moist and lightly hoe into the top surface of the soil. If using in dry conditions ensure it is watered in. As well as using Q4 Pelleted Fertiliser for flowers and vegetables, it is also ideal for fruit, tomatoes and chrysanthemums. Q4 Pelleted Fertiliser can also be used on lawns prior to seed sowing or laying turf. As a gardener, you get to the point where you have tried many things and you still are not getting the results. You look to what commercial growers and professional gardeners use in growing their crops and plants and in trying to replicate the results you often see on the TV.

One large 10kg tub can fertiliser up to 40 square metres of land, so if you have plenty of land, you may need to buy more. This product was originally developed for commercial growers. Q4 All Purpose Plant Food produces bigger, brighter blooms and bumper sized crops.

I also use Vitax Q4 professional to add to growing media that I’ve used for growing bulbs. When I remove the bulbs from pots in spring I tip the growing medium into a barrow, add a few handfuls of Vitax Q4 professional and mix it up. I use this for potting seasonal bedding plants or even longer term subjects in containers. Vitax Q4 professional is not always recommended for use in pots, mainly because you can overdo it. Personally I do use it as a top dressing on permanently potted subjects – just a handful and then top up with some fresh growing medium. This product must be stored out of the reach of pets and children and away from pesticides, food, drink and animal feed. A handful corresponds to 35 grams, so you need to use more if you have a large container, less in a small one. Remember applying too much fertilizer can be detrimental as applying too little. For flowers and vegetables apply 140 grams per square metre before sowing seeds and planting plants. Top dress vegetable once or twice during the growing season. Q4 Pelleted Fertiliser should be applied to the growing media before sowing and planting flowers and vegetables. It can then be used as a top dressing once or twice during the summer months to encourage crops.Tomatoes: 200g per sq.m (Before planting in the soil). Spread 35g per sq.m as a regular feed at 3-4 week intervals. Apply before planting or for established plants, in early spring. When top dressing, apply evenly to the soil surface beneath the leaves and branches of the tree. Apples, Pears, Plums: 175 g/m2 (5 oz/sq yd). Currants, Gooseberries, Raspberries: 140 g/m2 (4 oz/sq yd). Strawberries: 70-100 g/m2 (2-3 oz/sq yd). Even if you use Vitax Q4 as a general slow release fertiliser at the beginning of the season the Vitax Premium liquids range will really help to give your plants a boost. Just dilute in the watering can and apply when watering. It’s ideal for pots and containers and on all newly planted subjects. Q4 Plus Fertiliser can also be used as a top-dressing for vegetables and should be applied twice during the summer months. Fertilisers and plant food are commonly used to improve plant growth both indoors and outdoors. There are products that are designed to be used around the garden, while others target indoor plants. Even if your soil is already healthy, fertilisers and plant food can still help you to achieve bigger and larger displays of blooms. Plus, if you’re growing edible crops, they can help to boost their yield.

Q4 All Purpose Plant Food is perfect to use on roses, prior to planting. For established bushes it can be applied as a top dressing in the spring. For deliveries the size of ours, this just doesn't make sense for us or for our international customers, and so we have made the difficult - but necessary - decision to stop selling our plants internationally. Delivery Information It can replace the need for sulfate of ammonia for leafy crops and those plants who need a high nitrogen supply. It can replace the need for sulfate of potassium used to produce bigger blooms and more fruit, and it has enough iron via sulphate of iron to help ericaceous plants.
