About this deal

Crodino takes its name from Crodo, a small municipality in the North of Italy, where the drink has been produced for over 50 years. They mention it's a great non-alcoholic option, the best selling non-alcohol aperitivo in Italy, and the best replacement for alcohol they have found. Another Italian mixer with a lot of potential could be Chinotto – it is another bitter non-alcoholic Italian soft drink which doesn’t have so much sugar as crodino, in fact its like very bitter coca cola if that makes sense!

It may not be reproduced in any way whatsoever without Ocado Limited's prior consent, nor without due acknowledgement. I’m not sold on how much I like it as a soft drink (it just seems to sweet), although, with a bit of lemon juice and ice, it become quite palatable (and remains non-alcoholic). A nose of lingering orange spiced with herbal notes, leading to an unmistakable bittersweet, citrus taste with a long-lasting herbal finish. In the end, it’s a great excuse to see your friends or meet new people, to have a laugh or just to listen to some music and relax. Crodino has been relaunched by Campari in recent years in terms of image and communication and has cemented its position as the most famous and drunk non-alcoholic aperitif in Italy. We just recommend you to enjoy Crodino with some simple yet good food, like bites of cheese or tapas. Experiment with different citrus fruits like grapefruit or lime, using their juice or zest for a unique flavor variation.Since 1995 Crodino is part of Campari Group, that has renewed Its image and communication consolidating its strong position in the market. Crodino takes its name from Crodo, a small town located in the North West of Italy, where it has been produced and bottled since 1964, the year of birth of the “Blond” Aperitif. You should also note that the picture images show only our serving suggestions of how to prepare your food - all table accessories and additional items and/or ingredients pictured with the product you are purchasing are not included. With its blood orange fruity notes, you will have a different experience, made of an intense bittersweet taste. I thought that the addition of sugar syrup would be unnecessary and wanted to make it more Italian, so I subbed the gin for Grappa.

It’s the non-alcoholic Italian aperitivo with a multilayered taste that will surprise you, it’s a sip of Italian lifestyle since the ‘60s, a glimpse of a mediterranean late afternoon. That’s the great thing about Crodino: it’s a non-alcoholic, so you can enjoy those moments whenever you want. This drink is a fantastic alternative for those seeking a bitter cocktail experience without alcohol. However, if you did want a boozy tipple, Crodino would also be delicious with a measure of gin for a quick and very easy aperitivo cocktail. Cardamom: with its intensely aromatic spice notes, cardamom has beautiful eucalyptus and camphor undertones that make so Crodino so utterly delicious. To get the best from a classic Crodino aperitivo, enjoy chilled Crodino over ice in a long-stemmed wine glass.
