About this deal

Tip: The installation takes no more than half an hour, and you don't have to make any changes to the firmware in the process! It doesn’t need any firmware updates or other tweaking, apart from making sure the bed’s levelled after you’re done screwing things back together. The difference in quality between the NG and a BIQU h2 is enormous especially when it comes to installing.

Don't shell out a lot of money for the light stepper; anything with the right RPM and torque specs is perfectly fine, and 0. Additionally, the Ender 3S1 features a silent motherboard, significantly reducing noise levels during operation. As well, A direct drive system would allow a less-powerful stepper motor to be used, which cuts down on the carriage mass problem.

Stripping it down and cleaning it out will probably fix the problem, but in the meantime I decided I was going to try Creality’s own direct drive head assembly. In most cases Direct Drive will provide advantages such as increasing the maximum flow speed, enabling the use of Linear/Pressure Advance, shortening Retraction moves, and better resistance to obstructions in the filament path, and more reliable printing of flexibles as you have already noted.

The S1 Pro is one of the best printers Creality has to offer right now, based on the legendary Ender-3 now upgraded in almost every way, with quality components, think of this as the non-budget version. The new and improved Ender 3 S1 Pro is a perfect choice for those who want a quality 3d printer with a little extra. Comes with a 42-40 stepper motor, this direct extruder kit is made of aluminum alloy and plastic, durable, and wear resistant. Can I tell you something it’s not that size it’s a standard size 235+ 235 because my ender 3 v1 glass plate fits it spot on now I think creality needs to go back to sort the mastics out? PrinterMods is a proud cog in that machine - supplying the maker community with what they need to grow and thrive. One where our 2D thoughts are turned into 3D realities and where you have full control of your creative experiments, with a little help from an online expert community that loves to share what we do. Cons: the extruder head had a bent connector (see picture) who interfered with the installation and the fitment of the head to the metal support on the x axis. The kit includes everything you need to upgrade your 3D printer to a lightweight Direct Drive system with an E3D Revo hot end. Installation was a breeze, but it turns out that I made enough changes to the printer that the prints (even with regular PLA filament) turned out poorly.

One goal was pursued in the process: A harmonious merging of RapidChange Revo technology with the Micro Swiss NG™ extruder line.

a printable bracket to mount the extruder and its stepper, literally fifty cents worth of filament and a couple hours of printer time. Printing speed and hight or not really a priority for me, I value quality over speed (so the hotend becoming heavier and loosing print speed is not a problem for me). We recommend you can purchase multiple filaments together when purchasing the printer, which is convenient for future operation. If you already have a direct drive setup this probably doesn’t have much to offer, but if you’re still using a standard Bowden tube setup it’s definitely worth considering. With the Bevel Gear design, we are able to achieve the industry shortest filament path (less than 41mm). Even if you don’t print flexible filaments, it is so much easier to print with PLA when the filament goes directly into the hot end.
