About this deal

Leaf grabbers let you shovel and pick up lots of leaves in one sweeping motion, a sort of rake and shovel in one. Exceptions to this are postcodes in the Scottish Highlands such as AB37-38, AB41-56 and IV and on the mainland KW1-14, PA21-40, PH15-26, PH30-41, PH49-50 and KW1-14. Also for convenience, there’s a hole to hang the leaf grabbers up on a hook in your storage shed or garage to keep them out of the way and in sight so you don’t lose them. Copies of the latest book from Alan Sargent and Gareth Wilson are expected back from the printer any day now.

All the clean up work is made much easier ,and of course there’s no bending down involved , keep your body upright and lift the prunings without having to bend your back to pick them up. Personally, these are not for me, but they would be handy for someone who just has a few leaves to collect and just needs an easy solution to make the job of collecting leaves a little easier and doesn’t want to invest in the long handled version. When you're not clearing leaves, use them for moving grass clippings after an afternoon on your ride-on mower. We have been using the Darlac Grab n Lift for a few years now and find it to be a brilliant piece of kit.Suitable for the elderly or those with limited mobility, the Long Handled Leaf Grabber eliminates the need to bend over allowing you to tend to your garden with the utmost of ease. Autumn can be a beautiful season with trees and shrubs providing a stunning colourful backdrop to our gardens.

It features extra wide toothed jaws for greater scooping capacity so you can pick up large amounts and transfer into a compost bin or garden waste bag. The Draper Leaf Grabber is a slightly better choice for the extra tenner, especially for larger areas. These are worth considering, maybe if you’re comparing against the Draper model for the extra sturdiness. Being a self employed gardener I was skeptical about long reach leaf grabbers thinking they would be flimsy and not able to pick up large amounts. The Draper Tools Long Handled Leaf Grabber is a grabber with two U-shaped handles that increase its sturdiness, which when compared to my Darlac which has single handles, does make it maybe feel a little better and more capable for large areas but it’s more expensive but probably worth the extra cost.I was a little worried as the blades dont meet along their length but this doesnt affect their performance. These leaf grabbers measure 34cm x 50cm so they're a decent size, ideal for picking up plenty of mulch, garden waste and leaves in one go.
