About this deal

If you're looking for a clean boost in sound for just a little extra oomph then this could be a pedal for you its sturdy and does the job, but coming from mxr that would be just selling them short on their good quality products, now is it the most amazing pedal well for me no but that is not for me to decide but for you to go out and try it for yourself. I’ve come across a guitar tool that can accomplish a whole bunch of jobs for a small amount of coin and I thought I should let you know about it. Recently, MXR/Dunlop has been touting the pedal as a quick fix for guitarists who switch back and forth between, say, a Fender Stratocaster and a Gibson Les Paul during the course of a performance. Because you will be driving the first tube gain stage with the clean boost rather than driving the second tube stage with the first, you will probably also hear a different character to the distortion as well.

With its Gain knob, the Micro Amp+ allows you to dial up just as much gain as the original-up to +26dB-but with added EQ controls, you can now finely sculpt your boosted signal. This pedal allows you to gently roll out that woofiness without negating all the wonderful interaction between the guitar and the Deluxe’s preamp. I have a lot of overdrives on my board due to playing in covers band and the need for multiple different sounds. With an electric guitar, this lets you boost your signal for lead work, adjust between two different guitars with unmatched output, for example humbucker to single coils, or it can supply a permanent boost in a long effects chain where signal drop-off is a problem. It remained the best thing going for about twenty years before the boutique market supplied newer options.Bref, certainement un très bon produit mais qui ne correspond pas à l' usage que je pensais en faire.

e., humbucker to single coils), or it can supply a permanent boost in a long effects chain where signal drop off is a problem. Additionally, the Micro Amp+ now comes equipped with low-noise op amps-so you don't get any extra noise at super high levels-and true bypass switching.

The Micro Amp only came in ‘block’ logo form with no LED or DC input, making it about as simple a stomp box as you can get. Put it after drives and you get a boost for solos, but put it in front of an overdrive and be amazed at the new range of sounds you can achieve with that overdrive. Use the Micro Amp as a permanent boost effect, or ramp up your signal when you're playing lead so your solos soar above the rest of the mix.

The pedal worked great when I tested it with the battery, and it still works having wired it up to the switch! My first exposure to it came when I was given an original MXR Micro Amp by my brother at the beginning of the ‘80s and it became a foundational part of my rig.
