About this deal
This ensures everyone feels supported and has a sense of belonging working for Kettering and Northampton General Hospitals. Your little one can also put the key in the ignition and use their imagination to take their mind on a little road trip. The buggy can be requested from Balmoral Reception or you can telephone the buggy driver upon your arrival to use this service. Exploring the buggy with their hands will help baby begin building strength and coordination in their little fingers. No specific qualifications are required for this role, although any relevant qualifications should be detailed on the application.
We offer a Patient Buggy Service at each hospital, which operates within the perimeters of each of the hospital sites. We aim to maintain transparency in our pricing structure while providing you with the best possible service. Full of fun activities, the Lights and Sounds Buggy Driver has a steering wheel to turn, horn to beep, ignition to turn on, indicator lights, adjustable side mirrors and a gear stick with lights. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.
Looking into mirrors is a great way for your baby to gain spatial awareness - and they can enjoy discovering themselves in the mirror too. If you would like to make a donation towards the upkeep of the service, please ask the driver for a donation envelope. Being rewarded with lights and sounds when they press, push or turn encourages your baby to interact with the buggy, and helps them discover cause and effect for themselves. We are looking for volunteers that have availability between Monday to Friday, mornings or afternoons.
We have also entered into a Group Model with neighbouring Northampton General Hospital and become University Hospitals of Northamptonshire. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice.
