The drydown of this scent was giving me memory whiffs of another wonderful summer masterpiece by dolce and Gabbana, the vintage sicily.And yet, like Chloé’s Nomade Eau de Parfum, something about Crystal Noir reminds me of a very fresh and clean woman who’s just gotten out of the shower. Sexy but in a sophisticated and clean way, long lasting, to me the most prominent note is the coconut. Hours later, I can detect the slightly peppery, peony-laced, lactonic, but not-too-sweet, dark tropical fragrance. I believe the newer and older versions a quiet different in both scent and performances (from what I remember when I tried this first in about 2014) so I think it should be mentioned what version is being reviewed. Men also seem to love this on a woman as it's very feminine but the spiciness of it adds some playfulness to the fragrance. It’s such a lovely scent, as long as you don’t overdo it and if you can get your hands on a edp version, that would be my recommendation.

Very long lasting, I'm guessing the screechiness comes from me not agreeing with the peony-gardenia-pepper combo, not my nose nor my skin, so it ended up amping it up.My first reaction to this perfume was that, while it isn't individual or outstanding enough to become a timeless classic, it is nicely composed and a pleasure to wear.
