About this deal

York's leadership in France is taken away and given to William de la Pole, who tries in vain to defend the French land. It sounds from your review that, although the battles do feature, there's enough other intrigue going on to make it worth reading.

And although for the most part you're not particularly fond of him, you do find yourself growing strangely endeared to him so that by the time his character leaves the story, you actually sympathise with him rather than rub your hands with glee. It’s been said that Game of Thrones is the Wars of the Roses written as fantasy: this is the real thing, more glorious [and] more passionate. I'm sure many won't mind, but for me it was jarring, and I had to make a conscious effort to stay immersed every time this and similar choices popped up.Margaret’s reasons seem sound when seen through her eyes, Edwards revenge vindicated, Warwick and the Neville’s decisions sound. Having enjoyed the previous three books in the series – Stormbird, Trinity, and Bloodline – I had high hopes for this book, and it didn’t disappoint.

In 2007, Iggulden became the first person to top the UK fiction and nonfiction lists at the same time. A Fine SIGNED UK first edition, first printing hardback - in a fine unblemished and unclipped dustjacket - All my books are always securely packed with plenty of bubblewrap in professional boxes and promptly dispatched (within 2-3 days) - SIGNED BY CONN IGGULDEN via a tipped in page - Pictures of the book are available upon request. This book is far more deserving of a 4 1/2 out of 5 but as you can't mark it like that on here and I didn't have the conviction to mark it a perfect 5/5, I had to go for a four instead. On the hand there's, Richard, Duke of York, starkly opposed to this weak King, and he will start spreading unrest and rebellion at home, in an attempt to destabilise his King.Contentious material about living persons that is unsourced or poorly sourced must be removed immediately from the article and its talk page, especially if potentially libelous. A NICE CLEAN AND TIGHT UK FIRST EDITION FIRST PRINT COPY OF STORMBIRD BY CONN IGGULDEN, WHICH CONN HAS VERY KINDLY SIGNED AND LINED AND PRE PUBLICATION DAY DATED TO THE TITLE PAGE. If you want a great historical fiction book that is engaging about the unrest in England before the Wars of the Roses, I highly recommend “Wars of the Roses: Stormbird” by Conn Iggulden. It's clear how Conn Iggulden has become one of our best-selling historical fiction authors - and I'm looking forward to the next in the series, which he says he is planned as a trilogy but will probably end up as a four or five parter.

It's not often that you see conflicts from the viewpoint of the commonfolk who pay for the political games of the powerful. Mainly focusing on periods in history, he brings a level of detail to certain periods that give the eras a firm sense of grounding.Quiero decir, todos aquellos que quieran una lectura entretenida y llena de acción, disfrutarán mucho de este libro. Led by a man named Jack Cade, the Cade’s Rebellion decides to march on London to overthrow the government.
