About this deal

It makes it much easier and quicker to change instruments and settings than using the Function button combined with piano keys. But this isn’t the case with the Roland FP-10, and for those of you out there that are advanced players and are looking for a realistic and affordable home or stage piano, you are in safe hands.

We also offer this piano with the Official Roland KSC-FP10 stand and other accessories, as well as various finance options. To my fingers, the key action of the FP-10 feels slightly heavier than that of the Casio PX-160 and Yamaha P-45. This is of course personal preference and it doesn’t mean to say it has a better sound than anything else – but you can certainly tell when you are listening to a Roland. We recently compared it to the Yamaha P-125 which was a very interesting look, so the Roland FP10 is next on our list. Sign up to the Roland UK monthly newsletter and look forward to the latest gear news, artist-related features, how-to guides and much more in your inbox. You can select the sounds and effects by holding the FUNCTION button while you press certain piano keys that correspond to the function you want to select. The digital piano offers a 96-voice polyphony and optional sound add-ons, such as a key-off and damper resonance. Like this with Roland pianos you can use the mobile app (through BT) AND have the piano connected to your DAW on the PC or Mac (through USB Midi).

Due to the COVID-19 manufacturers are experiencing certain difficulties with manufacturing and distribution. By the way, I do not have FP-10 anymore- I considered FP-30X but got A-88 mkII MIDI controller and use Pianoteq sound emulation. The instrument works well with 0 problems and the amount of packaging was insane (which is good of course to protect the gear). Note: The headphone amp on the FP-10 is a bit weak, so if you intend to use headphones with a relatively high impedance ( > 40 ohms), you might need an external headphone amp to achieve optimal audio quality/volume levels. You can get creative in any musical genre with onboard sounds including organ, electric pianos and strings. The Roland FP-10 comes with a black music rest that slots into the top of the piano, a basic footswitch, and a user manual. The FP-10 includes 17 songs to listen to (classics mainly by Chopin and Debussy), and play along with, and a further 15 songs that demonstrate the instrument sounds built into the piano. I use it at its default touch setting and make the finer curve adjustments, if needed, in the software. Plus, with Bluetooth and MIDI connectivity, you can connect with a world of Digital Audio Workstations (DAW) and apps ranging from Apple GarageBand to Roland’s Piano Partner 2. Touch the white keys and you’ll be convinced by a revolutionary moisture-absorbing material that recreates the natural texture and tactile feel of real ivory – and for expressive pedaling techniques such as half-pedaling, simply connect the optional DP-10 pedal.
