About this deal

Also, the rose note and the mix with creamy vanilla is slightly reminiscent of Delina exclusif by Parfums de Marly. Perhaps I will start loving it after wearing it a few more times, that does happen sometimes, but usually not with fragrances I perceive as generic. he liked it a lot, by the way, as did my mom and my boyfriend; with this amount of projection and crowd-pleasing notes, it's a compliment-getter, though i would not wear it to any scent-sensitive occasions. After a while, I get a whiff of a rose but then it just evaporates into thin air and the coffee takes over again staying that way through the dry down. com perfumes magazine - All Rights Reserved - do not copy anything without prior written permission.

To be honest the hit of coffee doesn’t stay long, but it evolves into the smell of a coffee that’s been sprinkled with chocolate. Second time around I got some coffee - but it's not black coffee or freshly ground coffee beans, and it's not strong or overly obvious. SUMMARY: A strong projection, very sweet, coffee, vanilla, caramel, roses, and woody fragrance with ambery and white must accords. I thought that a more pronounced coffee note would make this scent even greater, but I was quite surprised that this is not really the case for me.Intense Cafe is a coffee, amber, floral and vanilla fragrance that I find quite appealing, although it does reflect some other fragrances, namely Tom Ford Noir de Noir but more in a more lactonic way. I get coffee and rose in the opening, and then rose and something sweet (I guess the vanilla and caramel? It is a dark full rose in a vase at a beautiful smoky coffee house in autumn where you sit with your best friend who is of the opposite sex. From the French house's vanilla-based collection, Intense Café eau de parfum is a concoction of stunning floral notes that reveals a rose and coffee heart. the 'intense' part of the name is a promise kept; my father walked into the kitchen while i was cooking lunch and the first thing he smelled and commented on from across the room was still this fragrance.

This scent for me is being viewed from the window of having already tested the original Montale Intense Cafe. delicious, bouncy rose (beta damascone) with a generous dollop of sweetened liquid caramel and freshly harvested madagascan vanilla. This is so intense and sweet that you expect it to become cloying or overwhelming but somehow it never does. If you're on the fence regarding Montale Intense Cafe and Montale Ristretto Intense Cafe, go with Ristretto.

Sadly this turns into the typical musky-rose combo so well known by now, mixed with a healthy dose of vanilla. For outdoors in summer, I like to spray this once or twice on a ball cap and layer with an orange-citrus scent like Mandarine Glaciale Atelier Cologne or something similar. My mom said the intense cafe smells like made coffee while ristretto intense cafe smells like coffee beans. This is the first fragrance I've tried with a reported coffee note that actually smells like coffee to me.To be honest, I wish it was a bit more intense, but I didn’t have my hopes up because of my previous experiences so I’m very pleased. I know for myself when making espresso coffee at home, I’ve always had the very best results by mixing a rich chocolatey dark roast bean with an opulent full flavoured lighter roast bean. This gives that metallic base this house is known for using more prominence here than in Intense Cafe.

i'm also not the biggest musk lover out there, and the base is really quite musky a few hours into the wear time. The burst of rich caramel espresso transported me to a cafe on the Swiss Italian lakes in the springtime, a very specific evocation to be sure. This unexpectedly complementary arrangement gives way to a heady sillage of vanilla, amber and white musk. I don't detect much woods or amber, but the drydown is definitely with the signature Montale/Mancera musk.I never had a rosy perfume , or a coffee one for that matter , so this review is probably gonna be helpful to first timers like me. The dry down is similar for both: rosy, creamy, the OG a tiny bit like younger, fresher, pink rose, while the Ristretto is a bit deeper, purple rose for me. This primarily lasts for the first 20mins or so and then it drifts off into the background while the creamy red roses begin to take over. I find Ristretto Intense Café to be a bit sweeter initially and in the middle notes, but I love them both. On the other hand, if you want the sweet gourmand coffee vibes without any heavy musk, Comptoir Sud Pacifique's Vanille Café is super delicious and quite affordable.
