If you're on the fence regarding Montale Intense Cafe and Montale Ristretto Intense Cafe, go with Ristretto.

i'm also not the biggest musk lover out there, and the base is really quite musky a few hours into the wear time. The dry down is similar for both: rosy, creamy, the OG a tiny bit like younger, fresher, pink rose, while the Ristretto is a bit deeper, purple rose for me. This primarily lasts for the first 20mins or so and then it drifts off into the background while the creamy red roses begin to take over. I find Ristretto Intense Café to be a bit sweeter initially and in the middle notes, but I love them both. On the other hand, if you want the sweet gourmand coffee vibes without any heavy musk, Comptoir Sud Pacifique's Vanille Café is super delicious and quite affordable.
