The distinct personality of the drink is completed by the Veneto grappa adding an oomph to the indulgence. To make the best Classic Margarita, the lime juice needs to be fresh; the tequila should be of good quality so that it's smooth, not harsh; and the triple sec should be balanced and smooth - Cointreau is the traditional choice, and a good one. Elegant dark chocolate is used here to avoid over-sweetness, and instead, there’s a curious rich bittersweetness created alongside toasted oak and sweet vanilla. For those not familiar, grappa is an Italian pomace brandy, so it’s usually made using leftover grape skins from winemaking.This indulgent mix of 70cl of sweet tequila liqueur is full of smooth velvety chocolate aromas and flavours combined with heady alcohol content of 20%. With the blend of sweet cocoa and peppery notes from the tequila and combined with finest quality dark chocolate gives this drink its distinct rich flavour, with no bitterness but a wonderful velvety finish.
