I know, there have been reformulations, and some think it is now weaker. I’m not sure, but again, never been a beast for me. seeing as i live in quite a poor country the price of this YSL is quite high but i do not regret getting it, the scent is fab, but as one user wrote the performance of this frag is simply offensive, why did YSL do this to this lovely frag i do not know?! the photography may be of a different size of the same product. Please read the product description This is in sharp contrast to those more shower-fresh-after-gym fragrances, "blue fragrances" and "cakes and candy" fragrances.One thing I can't wrap my head around is the idea that this is mostly a date night scent. This is of course a perfect date night scent, but the idea behind it *as a date night scent* is not to spray tens or over twenty times to compensate for the poor longevity. You're supposed to spray just enough to create a subtle bubble of soothing, spicy warmness to draw your girl closer to you instead of repulse her by turning this into a projection monster. Everyone knows that its longevity infamously abysmal. Still, I bought a travel atomiser and wear it anyway because I love it that much. This lasts about 30 minutes to 1 hour while projecting at arm's length on my skin. It can barely reach 2 hours with the same projection when I apply it to my skin and clothes. But (perhaps unsurprisingly) it goes into the next day when I spray it underneath my clothes. Either way, I generally prefer my fragrances to be low key and not the star of the show. For a time, La Nuit is quite powdery and has a really attractive aroma, as it dries down. I like the opening of this scent, but the dry down is fantastic.

As many have already written, the performance is its main flaw, the longevity reaches about 6 hours and the sillage is intimate, so its appropriate use is probably for romantic dates.

To quote my favorite streamer Aaron Terence Hughes, perfumes like this should be treated as a scam and nothing else. If something lasts for an hour, it has no purpose or function. I knew it should be applied a little more, I sprayed 8-9 times and went to work. Didn't even get there and scent was gonne. I said ok, I'm a smoker and not a teenager, so I found younger female colleagues who don't smoke and ask 'how does it smell'. So - NOTHING! After two hours! Not even a douche-bad strenght scent, nothing! Should've discovered this one much earlier than I did. My bread-and-butter signature scent during most of my uni years, and even some time after that, was the original L'Homme which at the time I first smelled it in 2015, blew my mind. I was initially skeptical that this flanker could live up to the original that I enjoyed dearly and associate with some of the happiest years in my life. Finally getting to smell LNDH came to me with some sense of pleasant surprise. i have no knowledge of the versions before the one i have, i believe my batch to be December 2022, i literally put an infinite amount of sprays on last night, 20+ at least, and after less than thirty mins i had a light skin scent on me :( crying shame to be honest... The first impressions that I gather from La Nuit is how utterly perfect it seems for nighttime wear. I mean, there are plenty of great smelling colognes, but this is just built for a night on the town and for getting close to the ladies. The color and shape of the bottle is the exact negative of how I see it in my mind's eye: on the pink to purple spectrum, and not as bulky.

Okay - a little cheesy, but this is honestly how transcendent YSL's juice is to me. I first smelled this and was absolutely in love with the intoxicatingly rich and spicy cardamom - a note that I am already very fond of and I think this bottle has used it masterfully! However, as singular as the nose is at first, it warms into a heart of gorgeous lavender (fresh, not dried) that is blended harmoniously with warm citrus (bergamot), which also lifts the accord and giving it a breeze of fresh air. The cedar is not overly used or dusty - on the contrary - this is very rich and damp cedar. The olfactory pleasure continues into the dry down with a nice fresh vetiver accord that is not overly "rooty" or earthy. A slightly sharp, but also clean vetiver that melds with the cedar and lavender with the cardamom carrying through the whole composition. This turns, on my skin (nothing short of amazing) slightly sweet, powdery blend of warm notes that just seem to breathe on my skin! That is coumarin in the base...and it is used in perfect balance here. A word of caution...don't over-apply. But, feel free to wear a fair amount as this is not overly 'loud'. not be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage arising under these terms and Also, where 1 Million is more energetic and youthful, La Nuit De L’Homme is classy and refined. Though, it is quite versatile beyond that application. I consider this fragrance to be a true masterpiece. In my opinion, it is universally appealing, and I can't think of anyone who wouldn't like it, regardless of age or gender. While it has a certain sweetness to it, I believe it leans towards being unisex. It's possible that skin chemistry could play a role, but I personally haven't had any issues with the longevity of this fragrance, which lasts for around 5-6 hours for me.I understand that opinions may vary, but to me, this fragrance can be worn all year round. The only exception would be during extremely hot summer days.Not one of those nose-blasters, wherein one walks by you and you can taste the top, middle and base notes in your mouth. I utterly appreciate the fact that it sits close to the skin, rather than announce its arrival with a huge 'LOOK AT ME! I HAVE ARRIVED!!' I think many people forget that fragrance is not just for yourself but also to please those around you. It is almost uncivic-minded in certain asian countries to intrude onto others' senses, so this is where I am coming from.

It’s a sweet scent that doesn’t venture off into the super candy-like aroma, rather, it remains steadfast in its masculinity. Sweet, but the opening is a spicy freshness, with dry and woody undertones. That will shift, as we move along, but the opening brings it. After the first few minutes, the lavender steps up big time, along with the cedar. So, you get a mix of cardamom and lavender (cardamom still the strongest), with fresh woody aromas emanating from the base.That initial punch is still pretty solid, though. Just nowadays, it doesn’t keep to that same level for all that long. This is truly awesome fragrance! To me, if you can conjure imagery from a scent, then you have accomplished something unique and exceptional. Your olfactory senses allow your mind to visualize...with La Nuit de l'Homme I find myself, "...upon a dark, cool night with a light breeze and a full moon shining bright, radiating off of clouds. I am in the woods - alone, but not afraid or cold. I am walking on a path to the one I love and I will be there soon...and, I know she is waiting for me." LNDH is all about the soothing lavender and sweet, fizzy cardamom, held together by a dry woody undertone that lingers and becomes more prominent after the first two wear off. Slightly sweet, warm, woody, slightly spicy, and dry. Longevity is not the greatest, I get 3 hours at best, but the average projection will keep up for most of the duration of it.
