This Party’s Over effectively pads out the Galactic Republic affiliation with some interesting alternatives for Clone support troopers, lots of potential mobility and, in the form of Commander Ponds, one of the most significant options within Shatterpoint squad-building in general. Pragmatic Hero: Although he is still bound by the Jedi Code, Mace is more than willing to advocate more simple and direct approaches to ending the Clone Wars and stopping the Sith. He advocates sending a Jedi to assassinate (instead of capture) Count Dooku after he destroys a refugee convoy and tries to kill Palpatine despite having him at his mercy because he knows he is too dangerous to keep alive. All for Nothing: Everything Mace did was to protect the Jedi and the Republic. Ultimately however he fails to save either. Shortly after he is killed, Darth Sidious destroys the Jedi and turns the Republic into the tyrannical Galactic Empire which would dominate the Galaxy for more then two decades. What's more it was Mace's own actions that gave Sidious the justification he needed to get rid of the Jedi who were the only ones who could have stopped the Empire from being created. As can be expected from Atomic Mass Games these days, there’s a lot of solid production quality going into the models; hard plastic with crisp detail and, in this instance at least, a relatively simple build process compared to some other kits in the Shatterpoint range (I’m looking at you droids…). Mold lines are at a minimum and there was very little in the way of gaps to fill; the cuts on the sprues were in obvious, easily hidden places so assembly was straightforward.

Both of these sets of miniatures are lined up for an August release according to Asmodee so they'll be coming out at the end of the Summer to help bolster Shatterpoint collections after that initial set of releases and the core set. While his weariness about Anakin does ultimately prove to have some merit, he doesn't seem to realize that the Jedi and the Council especially are pushing Anakin away as he struggles with his emotions. Ultimately, Anakin was on the side of good for many years, but it wasn't until Anakin was driven to the Dark Side by desperation and manipulation rather than anything else. Choosing to depict the purple 187th Legion Clone Troopers is interesting though, given they have a canonical equivalent. I presume the brown colour was considered unappealing." On the other side, in Jedi Master mode, being able to use expertise to turn crits into failures is always nice.

I believe the troopers appearing in Clone Wars S7 are supposed to be a branch of 91st Recon, like Lightning Squad, his unit during the Ryloth arc, as the armor color better matches. Mace Windu was still undoubtedly the strongest of the Jedi besides Yoda in Legends, but in that continuity he was more or less on par with Dooku (if not slightly inferior, seeing as Dooku was an Invincible Villain to anyone not named Yoda, Sidious, Talzin and eventually Anakin Skywalker) and had some difficulty facing people like Ventress, Grievous and Kar Vastor. He was also primarily able to contend with Sidious due to Vaapad and circumstance (to say nothing of endless debates about how much he needed it or if he genuinely won the fight). In Canon, Vaapad isn't known to give this amp, so he contended on his own merits. Somewhat Zig-zagged though, as he gets into far fewer fights with Dooku's goons (who themselves would get stomped by Sidious), but loses the fight he has with Maul while also having help from Aayla Secura). That itself is downplayed though by the fact that, like Windu, Maul actually can hold his own against Sidious in a fight restricted to lightsabers.
