About this deal

What number did you program into the TPS dead low setting of the Kelly controller parameter ? My throttle response on my Kelly 7218s was also poor, and I was told to change the TPS dead low setting to " 5" . I'm trying to find other Kelly users that want to work together and figure out what all these programmable paramaters mean and what is the best settings to input for them, for best overall performance of ones ebike setup. The Kelly manual isn't very understandable IMHO.[/quote] Full disclosure, I will be selling these units because I like them. I will start a separate thread in the appropriate for sale section, so please keep that discussion in that thread. I also tried a big 250A continuous Lingbo sinewave controller. It seemed far inferior to me than the sabvoton. Lots of throttle lag, weird regen, seemed somewhat less powerful or barely equivalent to a 150A sabvoton, seemed very inefficient in terms of power consumption, the programming software wasn't good.... So far the sabvoton remains my absolute favorite. MQCON(Sabvoton)is a high-tech enterprise specializing in researching, developing, manufacturing and marketing the motor controller, here are some other types maybe workable for you. Sabvoton: Very smooth start, no vibration, no noise whasoever. Extremely easy to control, it feels like a gas powered engine. The total absence of noise is pretty much amazing. The start up torque from 0-20kmh feels a tiny bit lower than the Kelly, but passed this point the power and torque seem to go up more and more, until about 70km/h where it starts to hit the top of the curve. I reached 115kmh without the flux weakening enabled, in less time that what I needed to reach 97kmh with the Kelly. The regen was set up to 75A, and it feels pretty strong, works well. I really enjoyed the ride with this controller, The only thing I actually liked on the Kelly was the sound from 5-30km/h. To me the Sabvoton feeled far superior.

In terms of driving feeling, the Sabvoton is far superior because much smoother and has a very nice throttle feeling, without any lag. Size and heat: The kelly is quite bigger and heavier. So far, according to my tests, they are heating pretty much the same. The controller enjoys high efficiency due to space vector converter control algorithm which can effectively reduce the temperature rise of controller and extend battery life mileage About the low power wiring, they are pretty much the same, the indication markings on the Sabvoton are a bit clearer though (I had a hard time figuring out what was the ignition wire on the Kelly... it was a pink wire marked "PRW", I thought it was a red wire marked "B+" which would have been far more logical). If you don't want high top speeds, but you want high voltage, what are you doing? Every reduction gear stage robs you of several percent efficiency. For a mid drive it's most efficient with just 1 stage, chain to drive gear. If you don't need high speed, then you don't need high voltage, you need a motor that has the correct KV. For that matter if you did want high speed you could do it with low voltage, it would just require more amps. Cons - largish, about the same as a 24 FET Xie Chang / Lyen, I'll post up some pics for comparison, buggy android software, programming software is a little clunky, but works well. Phase current control based throttle - This makes riding very nice. It has a variable up/down time limit settable in milliseconds to help buffer out any throttle jolts that happen while riding. The throttle voltage end points are adjustable so it will match any pot type throttle or hall based throttle and provide full range. The throttle mid point and also the phase current mid points are adjustable so that you can customize the throttle curve. I've got a used one, second hand. That's why i didn't chose a sine wave, I simply hadn't the opportunity. So far, I tested all those controllers on a 72V 35Ah lead acid battery, on my electric motorbike, with 16 inches 3000W QS V3 high speed motor.

It takes only 3 minutes for the motor to be well matched on its bestelectronic angle at the first time. It's special design for QS brushless motor controller for Conversion Kits, which can match with QS HUB MOTOR Rated Power 3000W-4000w.if you want to match with new brand motor, some parameters should be tested by yourself. The motor torque ripple will be reduced to the minimum, so as toensure electric vehicle to run without any noise and vibration, smoothly, andcomfortably. Regen - It has 2 types of regen, slide regen and normal button regen activated by sending a +5v signal to the regen wire. Both as set in phse amps and can provide a strong regen force, enough to cause the rear 19x"3.0 Shinko SR244 tire to be on the verge of skidding while it's engaged at any speed over 20mph.
