We searched the bookshelf for picture books that made us think of Autumn & this one is perfect. Hedgehogs hunt for insects, eggs, frogs and even small mice to eat, but they don't use their eyes. They rely on their sense of hearing and smell to find their food because their eyesight isn't very good. Build a Hedgehog Hotel - Ideal for a home or setting with some garden space. This exciting activity gets children hands on outside, building a space that hedgehogs can use. It doesn't just teach them about looking after the environment, they can also use maths, teamwork and problem-solving skills to name a few!
