About this deal

That’s the point,” Daniel says as he stands and fluffs my hair. “Your hair is incredible at this length.” In T L Swan’s steamy third installment of the Miles High Club, Kate’s hot new pen pal is a welcome distraction from her horrible boss. But nobody is as distracting as Elliot Miles…and he knows it. Is a raving bitch,” Rebecca snaps. “I have no idea how the two of these girls are genetically related. They have nothing at all in common. Chalk and cheese.” Okay, I have a lot of thoughts on this one. My main one is that I'm pretty sure this author's writing just isn't for me. There's something off about the dialogue. It's almost cringey to read at times and it just doesn't feel natural. I kept thinking, no one talks like this!!!

THE HERO WENT TO SEE THE PAINTER HE LIKES SO MUCH IN FRANCE BECAUSE HE WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT THE PAINTER ISN’T THE ONE OR THE ONE BECAUSE HE HAVE A GOOD FEELING ABOUT THE PAINTER… LIKE HE LIKES HER… HE THOUGHT THE PAINTER WAS SOMEONE HE WAS WAITING FOR BECAUSE HE’S BEEN FANTASIZING ABOUT THE PAINTER AND HER PAINTINGS FOR A LONG TIME…. WHILE HE WAS DOING THAT, HE WAS STILL WITH THE HEROINE. I’m not going to tell you the whole thing because its just so messed up, but the way he even thinks thats okay to do so or okay to think that the painter is “probably the one” and not the heroine is just way beyond disrespectful and disgusting. You have to read if to understand what I’m saying! I loved watching this cold alpha melt into tenderness over the fiery Kate. It was a thing of beauty and it also had an equal amount of scorching steam as well. Fortunately, the heroine is unimpressed with his excuses and leaves him for a stay in Oahu. Unfortunately, he has her tailed to her vacation rental and sends her daily letters that eventually win her over. Happily ever whatever. Kate: She may be talented, but sees herself as a very ordinary woman. After some losses in her personal life, Kate is a bit down on herself. She just cannot see herself as good enough for anyone. So, she dressed in unflattering clothes, wears her hair in a tight bun, stays in after work, and most certainly doesn't think about dating. And, the one person she really hates? Elliot Miles, of course. Kate has hated Ellliot since the first day they met - when he said something to her that she took offense to. Since then, she's been snarky toward him and he's been passaive-aggressive toward her. Safe sex? Yes. Condoms were used and they also had a discussion about not using condoms before they went down that roadI need them to see, Rebecca,” I announce, indignant. “And I just don’t see the point in spending a fortune on clothes and dressing up fancy all the time.”

He denies there was any sex with the artist (though every time the subject comes up, there's such dramatic pausing I reserve the right to doubt), and keeps asserting that he had to meet the artist, to be sure, so he wouldn't spend a lifetime wondering "what if...?" THE HEROINE IS TOO WEAK… I mean i get it that she’s weak because of her past but too weak for love for the hero even when he already do wrong things? When the hero say bad things that just so wrong, he came to apologize and the heroine never give him a hard time and just okay with it so easily. Like wtf. No wonder he’s ego becomes bigger and bigger… The hero said she is stubborn but also not too stubborn though, more like a “stubborn but weak woman” 😬 Daniel’s eyes linger on me and, as amusement flashes across his face, he clinks his wineglass with mine. But one day Elliot sees Kate in a sexy red athletic dress and he suddenly sees her in a new way. His hunger fir her grows unsatisfied and she is overcome with this cold and cruel man who makes her melt with one heated glance. Boss / Employee trope. Enemies to lovers. From the get go, grumpy Elliot and feisty Kate, hated each other. One time, Elliot saw Kate differently and he got interested and The fun, sarcastic banter started. There is much to live about this couple. I love Kate’s bold, strong, direct personality, but she’s vulnerable and very often that’s when Elliot really sees the woman he loves. He will do anything to protect and protect her. He has never had feelings like this and, although he cannot say it directly, he is in love with her. I wasn’t sure what to think of the fact that they were talking online and one of them didn’t know as I thought that would be what the drama was going to be in their relationship but I was thrown completely off! I didn’t see what happened coming and that’s one of my favourite things about T L Swans writing. The twist of the story wasn't a mistery to me, cause i could guess it very early, but it didn't ruined the book at all, since it was really well built and closed up.

But finding her is difficult. Elliot is obsessed with a reclusive artist, Harriet Boucher, through her artwork. He believes that her art speaks to him and that everything is part of a character. His brothers think he is crazy, but he knows there is a connection to the paintings and the woman in his dreams. Kate started out as this strong, take-no-shit-from-no-one, female lead and then slowly turned into a self-deprecating, self-sacrificing, shadow of the woman I knew and loved. Elliot: May be handsome, but he's a bit of a jerk. He's also been obsessing over an artist for years. Always buying her paintings and trying to meet her. He's aware that she must be much older, but he just feels its his fate to meet her. He's also known to only date beautiful and talented women (think opera singers, head editors of magazines, etc). He has no time for an "ordinary" woman, not when he's searching for that extraordinary someone. And did I mention he hates his IT manager, Kate? The Casanova is the third book in T.L. Swan's Miles-High Club series. This novel follows the third brother, Elliot and his love interest Kate. He shrugs casually, as if he’s totally at peace with being cold and detached. “I decided about six years ago that I was only going to see people in private and not openly date anyone. That way, there’s no gossip, there’s no paparazzi stories, it’s easier for me this way. And I know that it’s selfish, but it is what it is.”This was another great entry to the series and in the interest of keeping this spoiler free I won't say much more. But I was pulled into their romance and I loved how they navigated everything. Elliot as a sweet and romantic, but totally possessive and dominant farm man, is definitely worth every heart ache!
