About this deal

The fur on the animals’ limbs and heads was applied to a latex backing that was stretched over the puppet. You can see how the director's interpretation the characters' look, traits and behaviours, are all reflected in the creation of the models.

Says Saunders, “It was kind of half science, half art, how you shrunk the character down so that when you added the hair to it, it would go back to the original volume. The dry, blatant and literal humour was refreshing and beautiful to see in a film catered to younger audiences.Fox conceals these outings from Felicity, who becomes suspicious when unexplained food appears in their larder. The real value to be gained for those latter readers is inside Wes's chicken scratchings and liner notes. Upon reading up on the filming process I found that recording 90 seconds took 1 week to do, in addition to all that was set design, voice acting, and all the scripts and editing. Bem parecido com o filme do Wes Andersen, só que o filme tem alguns detalhes a mais e o livro tem algumas explicações que o filme não tem, além do final ser mais fantasioso, mas ok por ser um livro infantil.

No words are shared between the creatures yet a singular acknowledgement that they are more similar then they previously would've liked to admit. When it came to voice recording, if it was an outdoor scene, the dialogue would be recorded…well…outside. Fox, as his spree of thefts results in his family, and later his community, being hunted down by three farmers known as Boggis, Bunce, and Bean. Once the skull and armature were finished, they were treated to be rust proof, and a few puppets had additional materials wrapped around their joints for increased flexibility.

Alongside the sketches and art, there are little notes that explain the consideration taken when designing the models, how each part is to be handled and the significance in the final film.

Fox is a delightfully funny feast for the eyes with multi-generational appeal – and it shows Wes Anderson has a knack for animation".

Documents the making of the upcoming film based on the Roald Dahl tale about a fox who endangers the local animal community by giving in to his natural wild instincts, in a companion that shares cast and crew interviews while describing the movie's revival of stop-motion animation. Wes had a very clear idea of what he wanted, and I think he made us challenge all our preconceptions about what stop-motion puppets are,” says Peter Saunders.

The movement of the characters, the uniquely moulded details, and the variety of shots to the film, create such a magnitude of content. I think anyone with an interest in Wes Anderson's style or stop motion filmmaking or even color pairings should check out this book.An amazing and beautiful book that does a terrific job of showing all of the intricate details and talented people that made this movie. Some people like Kristofferson find their talents really early, and it seems the most annoying thing in the world, but in reality those can just be surface level and not useful. This book shows the behind the scenes and director notes for one of the best movies ever, Fantastic Mr. The film certainly has Americanized Dahl's story, and I don't mean the fact that the good animals have American accents and the baddies have British ones.
