About this deal

This compact, stylish, and resilient tool simplifies the process of capturing your musical creations while on the move, eliminating the need for extensive equipment and tangled cables.

I have plenty plenty of soundsources and really don’t need another synth…I need an instant composer tool. I’m using it as a synth in the first line and also as a Midi controller for soft synths as it sends out Midi CCs for all its knobs. But: It seems difficult to connect to old school DIN midi (on the stage) without all kinds of obscure midi boxes. It's travelled thousands of miles with me, it never fails to connect, and it's nice to twiddle real knobs to change parameters. The arpegiator and specially the scale modes are hard to figure out without one, without a reference it’s hard to know where you’re at.

The biggest let down in this amazing package is that Korg has not made an iOS app to help edit all of the midi control options. Maybe it’s amazing craftsmanship, but it could also be fear of disappointing my wife who got me the OP1 for christmas. So kann man sich zum Beispiel als Spielhilfe die richtigen Tasten für verschiedene Tonarten anzeigen lassen. And thanks to a new update to Electribe Wave these controllers can natively work with that iOS app as well.

It’s a real shame that you can’t toggle between DAW and stand-alone mode on the fly and get the best of both worlds. With iOS devices, the Nano Studios connect via Bluetooth in System settings like any other Bluetooth device. The NanoKey Studio comes equipped with 25 velocity-sensitive backlit keys that let you easily record into your DAW and feature a ‘Scale Guide’ function that illuminates the notes in your chosen scale making it easier to stay in the correct key.The compact design allows you to take the keyboard absolutely anywhere and offers a wide range of controls and functions that let you seamlessly create expressive patterns and musical phrases as well as Bluetooth capabilities so you can connect wirelessly to your computer/iOS device. The nanoKEY Studio features an arpeggiator with rhythm patterns, letting you generate a succession of new phrases simply by touching the pad. Whether you're a seasoned professional keyboard player or a complete beginner, the Nanokey Studio's 25 velocity sensitive keys are designed to make playing both fun and accessible.

Compared to the Kontrol 2, the Kontrol Studio is spread into a more comfortable layout with the Mute, Solo, Rec and select buttons moved out from between the faders and up into the more traditional position above. the is a smart keyboard with a variety of performance modes, such as the Easy Scale function, which lets someone produce musical phrases using any keys. With a simple, refined, and stylish design, along with beautiful lighting with white LEDs, someone won’t get tired of using it every day. Regarding the lack of DIN midi connection for live/stage use, I could maybe get a small audio interface that converts the usbmidi to DIN.It’s a compact, mobile MIDI keyboard which is easy to travel with, allowing ease of use anytime, anywhere. The more generic nature of the NanoKey Studio made it a lot more widely usable on my iPad than the Kontrol. You can also assign the pads to trigger audio clips and samples which is great for on-the-fly performances.
